Exciting News! 😃 I am honored to share that ARPA-E has selected me to join the first cohort of its Inspiring Generations of New Innovators to Impact Technologies in Energy 2024 (IGNIITE) program. IGNIITE 2024 supports early-career scientists and engineers to work to convert disruptive ideas into impactful energy technologies. This $500,000 award will support our lab’s efforts to tackle two challenges at once: 1️⃣ the plastic waste crisis, and 2️⃣ the intermittent nature of renewable energy. Our project will use plastic waste to store green hydrogen using an adaptive catalytic reactor which can continuously break down waste plastic into liquid organic hydrogen carriers under both hydrogen-free and hydrogen-rich conditions.
