📫 To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Astara in Portugal, we bring exciting news!   Astara has been appointed as the importer of KG Mobility vehicles and aftersales in Portugal. This marks an expansion for KG Mobility in the Portuguese market, offering low-emission vehicles and a broad range of pick-ups and SUVs, including its new Torres SUV.   Portugal becomes the eighth country in which Astara distributes KG Mobility vehicles, with existing operations across two regions, Latin America and Europe. 🔌 🚗 Inaugurated in #Mangualde, #Portugal, 62 years ago, the #Stellantis factory received a global investment of 119 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) to start the production of electric models, according to the Business Jornal de Negócios. The Mangualde Stellantis Production Centre thus becomes the first factory to do so in Portugal. According to Stellantis, this industrial unit will ensure the production of eight 100% electric models in the passenger and light commercial versions of the Citroën ë-Berlingo and ë-Berlingo Van, Peugeot E-Partner and E-Rifter, Fiat e-Doblò and Opel Combo-e models for the domestic and export markets. A new range of eight electric vehicles 'made in' Portugal will soon be on the roads. This is its vision for the future of the automotive industry and further proof that it is possible to achieve its most ambitious plans, in a sustainable and economically viable way, putting the best products at the service of customers. Portugal is moving towards decarbonisation, providing safe, accessible and environmentally responsible mobility to protect the next generations. The plant received an overall investment of €119 million from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) to start production of electric models. Stellantis #Mangualde has led one of the mobilizing agendas for business innovation with the "GreenAuto" project, which brings together a consortium of 37 partner entities and represents a joint investment of 119 million euros. Of the various investments made, the creation of a new battery assembly line stands out, which promoted the total modernization of an area with more than 800m2, where all the batteries for the electric vehicles produced in Mangualde are assembled. This new area, implemented in the assembly sector, allowed the creation of 63 new jobs, and all employees operating in these new workstations received - along with the rest of the technical team - specific training, thus increasing their skills.
