Welcome to the Team member memories series! 🎞️ In the next weeks, we will take a look at different memories the team members have throughout the years! 🗓️ This week, we have Jochem telling about his favourite memory, the 2023 Port Hueneme Regional finals: “At the 2023 Port Hueneme Regional, we went to the playoffs together with FRC team 3036 Peninsula Robotics and Wolfpack Robotics 3859. Knowing the competition would be tough, we had no expectations of making it to the finals. But to our amazement, we found ourselves there. The alliance we were facing was not just any alliance—it was the formidable combination of teams FRC 1678 Citrus Circuits Robotics, FRC team 4414 High Tide, and FRC team 696 Circuitbreakers. We knew the odds were stacked against us and didn’t expect to come close in score. Yet, in an incredible turn of events, the first match ended in a tie! Even more astonishing, we won the second match. One match had to be replayed due to a field fault, making the finals feel like they would never end.
