The TOR-3 is designed for determining dielectric loss tangent and permittivity of transformer oils 🛢 and other dielectric fluids according to the IEC 60247 🌟 . It is a fully automatic device that allows testing according to the procedures defined in these standards, as well as according to the user procedures specified in the appropriate section of the setup menu. The difference between the amplitudes of the signals taken from the reference capacitor and the internal electrode of the measuring cell is proportional to the dielectric constant of the liquid under study. IPF's solution for oil moisture measurement Avoid massive damage Water is generally undesirable in hydraulic fluids and lubricants, as it can cause enormous damage to machines and systems in high concentrations. With the compact oil moisture sensor YF900020 from IPF, this can now be specifically avoided, as the solution was developed specifically for the measurement of moisture in transformer, motor, lubricating or hydraulic oils and diesel fuels. The sensor integrates two freely configurable analog outputs (4...20mA) and an RS485 interface with Modbus RTU, which enable highly accurate measurement of the water activity (aw - value for the degree of saturation of the oil with water) and the process temperature (°C). In addition, the sensor can calculate the absolute water content (x) in ppm (parts per million). The extremely robust YF900020 can withstand oil temperatures up to a maximum of +125 °C and an operating pressure of up to 300 bar. The sensor is mounted simply and securely with a 1/2" process connection. Explore thermal conductivity with transient hot-wire technology The transient hot-wire technique measures thermal conductivity by observing the temperature rise over time of a thin, vertical resistive wire immersed in the material. Initially, the wire is in thermal equilibrium with its surroundings. When a step voltage is applied, the resulting temperature increase is monitored to determine the material's thermal conductivity.
