In week 5 of our peer mentoring training programme The Burgess Hill Academy we went back in time. Our Year 9 students were encouraged to think back to their first day at the Acadeny - having been affected by the restrictions due to Covid. This exercise always brings up some powerful emotions - especially when the students remember their younger selves. But it’s a good insight into how their younger mentees may feel when they visit in a few weeks for their transition day. #peermentoring #studentssupportingstudents #personaldevelopment #pastoralcare #selfbelief #studentwellbeing
