Customer Service Week is important, BUT... If most customers could respond to 'customer service week' email, I fear most would be like this... "Even though a week is set apart to celebrate how important I, the customer is, the essence is that I am too important to ONLY be celebrated 1 week out of the 52 makes a year. Of course, a customer service “week” is well deserved, but what should equally matter, is the importance of each day. So, Customer Service should be beyond the week, and should mean taking everyday as the best opportunity to be the best version of yourself, to do your best work to give me, the customer the best experience working with you." Happy Customer Service Week. #LookInTheMirror

Just finished the course “Customer Service: Managing Customer Expectations” by Jeff Toister! CONGRATULATIONS TO ME .. Wow in this course I learnt that if we don’t manage customers expectations efficiently it’s likely going to lead to customer dissatisfaction.. And as a customer service representative this is not what we want innit? #expectationsmanagement #customerservice.

Last week was Customer Service Week, and while many organizations celebrated their customers, it’s important to ask: Do we really understand who our customers are and what they truly need? Who is a Customer? A customer is anyone who interacts with a business to purchase a product, receive a service, or seek assistance. This can include individuals, companies, or organizations that depend on the value a business provides. Customers are the heart of every business, and their satisfaction directly impacts success. They can be classified into: External Customers: Those who are not part of the organization but purchase its goods or services. Internal Customers: Employees or departments within an organization who rely on others for support or services. How Do Customers Want to Be Treated? Across industries, customers have similar expectations for how they wish to be treated. Key principles include: ❇️Respect and Courtesy: Treating customers as valued individuals, not just transactions, with polite and genuine care. ❇️Empathy and Understanding: Listening to their needs and concerns and responding with empathy to make them feel heard. ❇️Promptness and Efficiency: Offering quick and accurate resolutions to their issues, respecting their time. ❇️Transparency and Honesty: Being upfront about processes and policies, especially when things go wrong, to build trust. ❇️Personalized Attention: Recognizing individual needs and preferences, making customers feel unique. ❇️Consistency: Ensuring the same level of service quality every time, which builds confidence. ❇️Problem-Solving Attitude: Focusing on resolving issues with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. By embracing these principles, businesses can build stronger relationships, foster loyalty, and drive long-term success. #CustomerService #WhoIsACustomer #CustomerExperience #CustomerNeeds

It's customer service week! Or is it... Unfortunately most companies use this to paper the cracks of their poor service offering instead of actually seeking to improve. There's two main things for excellent customer service: first, a fantastic product or service that actually fills the need of the client; second, effective resolution of queries and complaints through respect of the customer. Unfortunately many major companies have sub par products or services that are then forced down employees' throats with impossible targets and then the companies are a pain to deal with when there are complaints. Providing excellent client experience is the best selling point for great companies and that's what we should all aim for. #customerserviceweek

Customer Service week insights; Reflecting on my journey in customer service, from my very first job to where I am today, I've learned that it's all about being of service to others and ensuring their satisfaction. It’s not just a job; it’s a commitment to give your all because the ultimate goal is a happy customer walking away with a positive experience. While the demands can sometimes be overwhelming, I remind myself that customer service is an exchange of energy, ideas, and solutions. My former boss always emphasized the importance of taking a moment to breathe and recharge when needed. “If you’re tired, take a minute, vent if you have to, then return with a smile,” she would say. Angela Chipalo This wisdom has stayed with me, reminding me that a positive attitude can make all the difference.Over time, my role in customer service has evolved into a passion. There's nothing quite like seeing the smile on a client’s face at the end of our interaction. I firmly believe that until a customer is satisfied, we are not fulfilling our duty to them. This Customer Service Week, I celebrate not just the hard work of those in this field but the incredible impact we have on our clients’ lives. Let's continue to strive for excellence and ensure that every customer leaves feeling valued and appreciated. #CustomerServiceWeek #CustomerSatisfaction #ServiceWithASmile
