Mid career attorney joining an established firm? Don't miss this new guidance from OBLIC: FTA: "A successful firm addition can bring new opportunities, expertise, and clients to a practice. However, it can also entail significant risks, such as malpractice claims, ethical violations, or client dissatisfaction. Due diligence with a thoughtful and client-centered approach will help ensure success."
Looking to grow your team? Don’t miss OBLIC’s article “The Lateral Attorney Equation.” Hiring an experienced, mid-career attorney can bring major benefits to your firm, but it also comes with risks. Read our suggestions for due diligence here: https://ow.ly/jEzl50T9Zx0

Good news last night for Houston corporate associates. Finally, a new job! Here's a summary of M&A Houston jobs. Spoiler alert - if you are a unicorn, T-25 law school, 3.6 GPA, Peer AmLaw 25 Firm, direct M&A PE experience, and ideally no moves, then we have 3 firms hiring. I KNOW - THAT IS TOUGH. But that's the market we are in. Only the top 5% of candidates are even eligible for these jobs. WHY? The market is extremely tight. Firms have ALL the leverage. Firms have 1 spot not multiple. And the worst part - the 1 person who gets the offer is accepting because there are no other options. So person no. 2 isn't getting a chance. 1. Vault 10/AmLaw 25: new last night, M&A PE, 2 days in the office, 3 max 2017-2020 - they will not accept resumes from 2021-2023s. No exceptions. 2. Vault 10/AmLaw 10: They are being tough. Denied all 3 of my people so far. They want T25, 3.6 or higher, no moves, 2020 grad. 4 days in office. 3. Vault 10/AmLaw 10: 2017-2020 grads M&A PE. In office T and W. Some Thursdays. Message me today to set up a call if you are one of the rare ones who meet these lofty requirements. I'd like to talk with you!
