Recognizing the importance of adopting technology and innovation in achieving aspirations, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has developed and launched an executive institutional plan for research and innovation. This plan aims to enhance the readiness of the environment, water and agriculture sectors to embrace and develop technologies to enhance sustainability and preserve our vital resources.One of the most important components of this plan is the selection of specific strategic focus areas to guide all interventions and initiatives to be adopted by the EWA system to ensure the optimal guidance and use of available efforts and resources.In the water sector, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture followed a carefully designed methodology to analyze demand and account for the available supplies of the most important innovative solutions for the sector, which it is worth focusing on in the short and medium term, and detailed the stages of their adoption and dissemination in a road map for the adoption of technologies in the water sector in the Kingdom. This methodology was based on a number of criteria, including: the expected impact of the deployment of the technology and its ability to address the challenges facing the water sector and its ease of adoption, with a focus on the most mature technologies and ready to be widely deployed within the value chain in the sector, after being piloted and adapted to suit local conditions and needs.This plan was developed with integration, cooperation and support from various stakeholders, and in line with national aspirations and strategies related to the water sector and the research, development and innovation sector, and dozens of policy makers and experts specialized in innovation in the water sector have contributed to this process.We are pleased to share with you the water sector report that highlights the most important technologies and innovations targeted at adoption and related institutional initiatives.We invite all actors in the water sector to review this report to support the decision-making process and develop relevant institutional plans and policies, informed by the promising strategic opportunities highlighted by the report, which will enhance the integration of technology and innovation in their operations and contribute to the upgrading of the national water system, God willing.‏ #WaterInnovation‏ #WaterTech‏ #RDI

Dubai Diary One aspect that caught my attention in Dubai is that it's prohibited to speak negatively about the city in public, and a recent law extends this restriction to social media as well. This restriction made me think that when people are limited or controlled in what they can say publicly, it likely affects their private conversations at a larger scale. The focus seems to be on encouraging a positive outlook and constructive criticism rather than negativity. Conversely, during my Air-India flight, I was pleasantly surprised to see safety instructions creatively presented through various forms of Indian dance, which evoked a sense of pride and connection. Additionally, the in-flight newsletter exclusively featuring content about India further reinforced the importance of championing positivity and pride in the country. Instead of always highlighting what we lack, emphasizing our strengths could shift our perspective significantly, emphasizing the filled part of the glass, rather than focusing on the empty portion. Encouraging a more positive approach in our speech and content can boost our pride and change how we view our lives, although occasional criticism and constructive evaluation have their place in monitoring progress, spreading widespread negativity might hinder progress.
