It’s interesting how #TastyTreat might just be the only Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in Bangladesh to scale successfully. Despite their widespread presence, it seems they’re not getting the recognition they deserve. You’ll find a Tasty Treat outlet almost everywhere in Dhaka—even in areas as crowded as Nakhalpara and almost all cities in Bangladesh. Tasty Treat has nailed the core demand for affordable snacks, with items priced between BDT 70 and BDT 150, while maintaining a moderate level of quality. They seem to have found the sweet spot where affordability, quality, and branding intersect—a combination that no other QSR brand has truly achieved here. When you visit a Tasty Treat near any office or school at morning times, you’ll likely notice students and professionals stopping by for a quick snack. In Bangladesh, we don’t see many brands catering to this market segment as effectively. While it’s easy to attribute their growth to the influence of Pran-RFL, being a subsidiary of such a large conglomerate, I think Tasty Treat deserves a lot of credit on its own. They’ve expanded silently, fulfilling an unmet need in our market with a strategy that really works. #Business #growth #successStory

Why connaught place would never get outdated? 3 reasons why I don’t get bored of visiting CP:- 1.) If you wish to buy anything, there are three markets at the same place; Janpath(low range), Palika Bazar(Mid range), Main circle Showrooms(high range). You can compare prices and quality and get what suits you the best.✅ 2.) If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll have innumerable options. Is Mr Burger Singh is eating up market of the American fast-food giants (McD, Burger king).. ?? Here is what I found out... Indians want best value of money and filling meal- kept burger bun and filling 20% 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 becoz if the burger is light, it would 2x the bill (𝐍𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐈𝐓). -Second tried preventing juices going into the bun, making it soggy and giving bad customer experience. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬: For big QSR business requires solid SOP’S as having multiple outlets requires standardization and tying up with best vendors for prompt supply. 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲: Menu of 28 burgers representing each state of India: United states of 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐛 or 𝐁𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢 Gosht burger or 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫 express chicken burger or be it 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐲 𝐣𝐢 veg/ non veg Burger (U.P.) -customers found it interesting!! 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠: Aim was not to enter price war with McD and Burger King so charged 8% 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 20% 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 (Burger@ Rs100 = charged Rs 92) & offers like cheapest burger @39 + complementary fries @Rs 1- opened a new market segment. 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐫 2/3 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: Major brands have focus on Tier 1 and only 50% or less have outlets in tier 2/3 but #Burgersingh did opposite: 65% of stores are in tier 2/ tier 3 cities. (𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫 2/3 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬) What do you think? #QSR #FastFood #ProductDevelopment #PricingStrategy #CustomerInsights #IndianFood #Burgersingh

ANALYSIS OF QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANTS Q3 RESULTS DECEMBER 2023 1. JUBILANT FOODWORKS LTD PART 3 In Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the Company operates through its 100% owned subsidiary which currently has 50 and 26 stores respectively Acquisition of DP Eurasia[2] DP Eurasia is a public company listed on the London Stock Exchange and is the exclusive master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza brand in Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. DP Eurasia offers pizza delivery and takeaway/eat-in facilities at 694 stores (678 in Turkey, 10 in Azerbaijan, and 6 in Georgia as of Oct,23) and operates an asset-light model through franchised stores contributing to 88% of stores. In Feb,24, JFN acquired a 93.92% equity stake in DP Eurasia for Rs. ~1,195 crs. for Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia businesses and ~Rs. 34 crs. for Bangladesh Buisness. It also has a homegrown brand Coffy. Turkey is one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe and has made impressive economic gains over the past two decades. In the early 2000s, broad-based macroeconomic and structural reforms supported income catch-up towards advanced economies. This moved Turkey firmly into the upper middle-income bracket. It’s a largely urban population with 75% of individuals living in urban centres and Turkey is also home to Europe’s youngest population with a median age of 33.6 years. Turkey’s Food service market is estimated to be ~$18 bn and the QSR market at ~$7.6 bn comprises nearly 41% of the market. As per industry estimates, by CY 2026, the food service market is estimated to be ~$28.1 bn at 15.2% CAGR with QSRs comprising 46% of the market. At least 53% of Turkish coffee consumers are consuming more than 2 coffee per day. Unlike India, coffee consumption has a a very high frequency in Turkey. The Coffee market in Turkey is estimated to be ~$1.1 bn and as per industry estimates, the market will double in 5 years to ~$2 bn end of 2028 Considering the high frequency, the DPEU team came up with the idea of building its own brand that will provide COFFY without the excessive price tag. They came up with a unique model of having single price points for each size rather than having different price points for each beverage at every size. With a trial store opened in October 2019 in Istanbul to now being the 10th largest CAFÉ brand in Turkey with 89 stores, COFFY has demonstrated strong performance and presents an additional growth vector for us. 74% of the network is sub-franchised With average store margins of 12-13% with a payback of 2.5 years, the unit economics are very superior for COFFY. It is on track to be the 5th largest CAFÉ brand in Turkey by the end of CY 2024 Domino’s is the 2nd largest QSR brand and a dominant leader in the pizza market with a 51% market share in value terms.
