The Blackwater Gold mine project consists of the extraction of gold and silver, along with ore processing facilities that have a milling rate capacity of 60,000 tonnes per day, over a mine life of 17 years. Located in central B.C., south of Vanderhoof, the project represents one of the most significant capital investments in the Bulkley-Nechako, Fraser-Fort George and Cariboo regions of B.C. in the last decade. Due to its remote location, our dedicated crews must make a three-hour commute along logging roads each shift turnaround to reach the camp from Prince George. At the start of the project in 2022, Inline was contracted by the mine's owner, Artemis Gold Inc., to complete bush flagging for the mine boundary tree-clearing scope. Given the secluded environment, snowmobiles were utilized, allowing us to apply our safety training to navigate the challenging terrain. Throughout the project, our top priorities remained safety and environmental stewardship. In the early phase of the project, we also provided Plate Load Testing services to McElhanney. This enabled our engineers to calculate the soil's bearing capacity – the maximum load the soil can support without experiencing shear failure or excessive settlement – information that is essential for foundation design. Inline has been contracted by several other companies throughout the course of construction of Blackwater Gold to offer survey services on their civil and concrete scopes, supporting the development of processing infrastructure for the mine. #InlineGroup #OneInline #ProjectSpotlight #Mining #Survey #MaterialTesting #GeotechnicalEngineering
