Another great year at DroneX Tradeshow & Conference . It was great to be able to speak this year, with Edwin Purnell MSc , to set out our plans to enable future UAS operations in the UK. As always, it was great to catch up with so many across the industry to hear about progress and opportunity for collaboration. Some key takeaways: ▶️ We have published CAP3008, setting out current available pathways for BVLOS operations in the UK. ▶️ We published this week, the Technical Strategy for BVLOS UAS operations (CAP3038), setting out future direction and plans to move from Demonstrate, through Scale and towards Sustainable operations. ▶️ We’ll be leveraging our new organisational structure to work effectively with industry to test and trial new ideas, before developing them into policies, AMC and regulatory changes. ▶️ UK SORA development is well underway, and will significantly change how we authorise UAS Operations. ▶️ We demonstrated the online portal that Operators will use next year, to provide a smooth journey for applicants, building on the PDRA01 launch. ▶️ We are working through consultation comments on the new Remote Pilot Competence framework, which we will publish soon. ▶️ The consultation on SAIL Mark and Flightworthiness is still open- everyone impacted is strongly encouraged to read and comment via our website. ▶️ It’s not just about BVLOS; we have an important VLOS UAS industry in the UK, and we will work to ensure we continue to enable these operations. #BVLOS #UAS #Aviation #Safety #DroneX #CAA #Regulation #SORA

Your prospect just DGAF. Ever talked to that person that just drones on and on... Including all the unnecessary details? Land the plane. It's the same thing in sales. YES, your product has so many benefits. YES, you are excited about all the features. Your prospect DGAF. Figure out what matters to them. -Understand their biggest need. Keep it concise. -Keep it to the top 3 benefits. Make it memorable. -Get crazy and use a mnemonic device. When you give too many unnecessary details, you just become noise. Land the plane. What is your method of making yourself memorable? Do you tend to overshare unnecessary details? Have you been to the aviation museum in CLT?

European drone associations have pinpointed three critical challenges hindering the seamless implementation of #uspace: - Approval Time: The extended duration for obtaining approvals for drone operations hampers efficiency and progress. - Lack of Standardization: Inconsistent regulations and procedures across EU member states create confusion and operational difficulties. - Access to U-space Airspace: Limited access to designated #uspace airspace restricts the potential benefits of drone technology. At the Alliance for New Mobility Europe we are dedicated to overcoming these hurdles. By coordinating efforts on standardization and actively participating in working groups, we aim to streamline processes and promote a harmonized approach across Europe. 15 years ago, I had the privilege of contributing to the design and construction of Belgium's first zero-emission Antarctic research station: Princess Elisabeth Antarctica. It was one of the first times I witnessed the powerful results that can emerge when companies and individuals unite around a shared vision. It was also a moment of deep pride, knowing I had been part of a national Belgian achievement. Today, I feel that same sense of proud. Drone Detection as a Serivce (DDaaS) is one critical step toward shaping the future of a safe and secure airspace. This is key to unlocking the potential of drones in areas such as transport, urban air mobility, security, and more. Will this solve all our traffic congestion issues or serve as the ultimate "eye in the sky"? Not entirely, but it will certainly add a vital layer to Belgium’s readiness in a fast-evolving world, where logistics, security, and mobility are becoming essential factors for maintaining our competitive advantage in the global market. I’m proud that Belgium, home to one of the world’s largest ports, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, NATO headquarters, and key European Commission institutions, is leading the way in preparing and securing its lower airspace for the future. At Senhive, we currently delivered drone detection systems in over 16 European countries, the USA, Japan, and beyond. We’ve seen the effectiveness of local installations—whether in prisons, event venues, airports, or transport corridors. However, the true potential emerges when we begin to share data on a national scale. A hybrid approach that combines local installations for high accuracy with broader national coverage for range, in our view, will define the future of CUAV (Counter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) systems and airspace management.
