😃😃😃 Happy and enthusiastic faces, since significant week ahead of all of us involved in #GEXTRECS project 📡 The first, official demonstrations of the #GOVSATCOM Crisis Management Service Pack developed in the scope of the GEXTRECS project are about to be run at 2 locations: ⚓the Port of Vigo, Spain on Nov. 15 🏥the Training Base Weeze, Germany on Nov. 18 Before the demonstrations commence, in order to overcome any barriers between technical partners and actual End-Users, on Nov. 14 the consortium is meeting on the #training. During #demonstrations we will dive into specific use case scenarios with our GEXTRECS partners, showcasing specific #SATCOM services and synergies with #CopernicusEU and #Galileo #GNSS. Improving public safety through satellite technology! 📡🌍 The AI-NET-ANTILLAS team stopped at VTT to demonstrate how OneWeb’s satellite service can enhance public safety communications. We showcased how LEO satellite technology supports critical group calls, video streaming, and tactical networks around moving vehicles. “The emerging LEO satellite systems have raised interest in many public and industrial sectors. It was therefore essential to have comprehensive information on the capacity of satellite services, particularly for critical services. These demonstrations enabled us to complete our Quality of Service (QoS) measurement campaign, the Oulu one being the third in a series which spanned two years,” explains VTT’s Heli Kokkoniemi-Tarkkanen.
