Today, on International Day of Charity, we celebrate the incredible impact that charitable organizations can have on individuals, families, and communities—especially when it comes to the power of strong social supports. As a charitable organization, we at Coast Mental Health are dedicated to supporting people with mental illness by providing three essential pillars of recovery, including housing, supportive services, and employment and education. These pillars empower our clients with the opportunity to build social connections that ultimately aid them in paving the pathway to a better future. Our CEO, Keir Macdonald, speaks to the importance of social support: "In our work at Coast Mental Health we have long believed that strong social connections and supportive relationships are fundamental to successful recovery. They provide emotional support, reduce feelings of isolation, and offer a sense of belonging and purpose. It's time we recognize as a society the profound impact of human connection and invest in community-building initiatives, mental health services, and policies that foster social integration. By doing so, we can enhance overall well-being and create more resilient, supportive communities.” Join us in honoring this International Day of Charity! Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. #InternationalDayOfCharity #MentalHealthMatters #CommunityStrong #NonProfit #SocialSupport

Food insecurity or mental health? Climate change or income inequality? 🤔 When choosing which causes to support, UHNW families can quickly become overwhelmed. There are so many potential issues to tackle and problems to solve. Narrowing down and identifying a cause and/or nonprofit to support is one of the many hurdles family offices face when navigating charitable giving for ultra-high-net-worth families. To read more about this struggle and the 7 others I identify, head to my recent Forbes article: https://ow.ly/wEOi50RvH6N #WealthManagement #WealthAdvisor #FamilyOffice #Philanthropy #CharitableGiving

insights so true, early intervention crucial to supporting children and families, collaboration key to achieving this vital early support.
📢 Insights: Parenting and Early Years Services 📢 Our research reveals the urgent need for greater investment and integrated support in the Parenting and Early Years sector. Earlier this year, our research team travelled across the UK, engaging with grant holders and organisations working in this area and local authorities to better understand the state of Parenting and Early Years provision. Here’s what we found: 💡 Early intervention matters: Preventative services are crucial for reducing family crises, but funding cuts have left these services vulnerable. 👥 Community organisations are key: Local support is often the first touchpoint, connecting families to broader resources. 🤝 Collaboration is essential: A cohesive approach across sectors is essential to providing holistic support for families. With only 6% of charitable funds reaching children 0-5, there is a gap to fill. As we look ahead to 2025, we are committed to narrowing the attainment gap for children in vulnerable communities. ➡️ Read the blog to learn more about the research findings https://lnkd.in/eDSuf6q8 #EarlyYears #ParentingSupport #SocialImpact #Research
