I went for a walk… On the Camino de Santiago! As the Galicians say, many paths lead to Santiago de Compostela and last week I took the English Way (Camino Inglés), totaling: 👣193,419 steps 📏117,5 km / 72 miles 🏘️29 towns 🗓️5 days ✅3 blisters 🥾1 pair of very broken in hiking boots 😬Sore everything Why am I sharing this here? Not only does completing the Camino (walk) mean you get you an official pilgrimer #certification (in my opinion the ideal certification for #lifelonglearning). But also because LinkedIn is a platform for professional #networking, as well as #sharing, #inspiration, and #learning. And while the benefits of walking, unplugging, reflection, and being in nature are well known, it was truly so much more than I expected. So, what are a few Camino #ideas that I believe are worth spreading for both our personal and professional lives? ⬇️ 💪 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 𝕓𝕖𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕖𝕣 𝕗𝕠𝕔𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕. From day one I knew exactly how many kilometers needed to be completed. My one task and goal every day was solely to complete the daily distance. Nothing else. And there was so much beauty in that simplicity. 💡What can you get laser focused on to make sure you reach your goal(s). 🎒 𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕝𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕘𝕠 𝕗𝕦𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 - 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪. While I by far had the biggest backpack of us all - over time my bag got lighter and I got faster. 💡What extra things are you carrying in your backpack? What can you let go of to make you go further? 🏆 𝕂𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕖𝕪𝕖𝕤 𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕣𝕚𝕫𝕖. The Camino was marked with distance markers (to the third decimal point!), making it very clear how much I had accomplished and how much more was left. 💡What are ways you can digitally or physically track project or personal goals to help you attain them? Last but not least! 🤍 𝕄𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕠𝕞 𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕦𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕤! Along the Camino fellow pilgrimers and locals shared their constant support with the phrase “Buen Camino”, or good walk. Such gentle acts of kindness from complete random strangers - is what kept me going. 💡How can you celebrate and support others, even random strangers. 🏆Best Co-Caminoer goes to Mikeala Sparks 🏆Best sock award goes to WOMEN OF TECH CONFERENCE GERMANY '24 ❓Plans to go in the Camino? During my recent visit to Nürnberg, where I had the honor of participating in the selection committee for the Max Weber Programm of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, I seized the opportunity to revisit one of the city's most iconic landmarks - the Schöner Brunnen. Whenever I am there I make it a point to stop by this magnificent fountain, a masterpiece that has stood in the marketplace since the 14th century. The Schöner Brunnen, or "Beautiful Fountain," is not only a piece of medieval artistry but also a beacon of lore and tradition. Among its richly decorated figures that depict the world-view of the Holy Roman Empire, there lies a golden ring embedded in the iron grilles. And, you guessed it, spinning it is said to bring good luck - I am not superstitious, but it is still fun spinning it. Each visit, I'm reminded of the unique stories and legends that global destinations harbor, enriching our travels and experiences. I find that such landmarks add a layer of cultural depth and personal enjoyment to our work travels. Whether it's the vibrant history of a medieval fountain in Germany or a bustling street market in Asia, there's always something fascinating to discover. These experiences not only broaden our horizons but also connect us more deeply with the places and people we encounter in our professional journeys. To my fellow travelers and expatriates: What are some of the memorable landmarks you've encountered in your travels? How have these places enriched your experiences abroad? #SchönerBrunnen #MasteringGM #travelstories #Nürnberg -- 🌍 Interested in more insights on Global Mobility, HR, and International HRM? Intentions ✨ I've been thinking about this for years. It didn't happen overnight. 🌱 In June I was in Anceu Coliving, a place full of magic. It's a rural co-living in Galicia, where we live together people from more than 10 different nationalities. 🗺️ 🏡 Sharing in the everyday fosters familiarity, allowing you to feel at home even in a new place. 👤 I can see that there was a people-centered design, with spaces planned to give comfort to their colivers (coliving participants). This way, we have enough peace and quiet to not feel overwhelmed by living with 15 other people. ❤️ Many people (and animals) synchronize to create the soul of the place. It is lived in love, care and respect. I repeat, I have been thinking about this for years when still living in Argentina. It didn't happen overnight. I asked for it. ✨ I am aware of the great privileges I have had and have in my life. 🤲 I am mindful of all the people who inspired me to pursue this type of online work, which allows me to live in an international community. 👣 I am also aware of the efforts I made to be where I am and to lead this lifestyle that I dreamed so much, that I intended so many times. Not everything is magic, choosing this lifestyle makes me miss many other moments with my family and friends. It is clear to me, these are life choices and I must be guided by what my inner compass indicates. 🧭 🌍 I knew I wanted to participate in international projects, to belong to global communities that nurture my experiences and enhance my life learnings. 👣 Step by step I created the life I wanted for myself, and I am living the life I want to live. I am here to live, to accompany people in their life projects, and nothing better than nurturing mine to be able to inspire others. ✨ I created BWell Lab with Tomás Nores to be able to work remotely, in projects that promote people's quality of life and to be able to be in places like this. What steps are you taking for your dreams? What are going to be your intentions this month? #Intentions #Dreams #Lifestyle

In exactly 4 months, I’ll celebrate a 10-year anniversary since I started my journey with Karanovic & Partners. Back then people often asked me how I felt after the change. My response was always the same – that it feels like coming home after a long trip. Coming to a home full of great people. A house full of amazing professionals. Successful, yet grounded. I was 30 years old when I started this journey, but I was not afraid of the challenge. On the contrary, I could not wait to start running. I was ready and I trusted myself. I had a plan, and I simply started executing. Day by day, week by week. Looking back, I see my journey in two phases. The first 5 years were incredibly challenging and required immense hard work and dedication to build our practice in Slovenia. The energy I invested was unbelievable. I often wonder if I can repeat something similar in this lifetime (not that I think I should). I also wonder if we would be where we are today had I chosen a different, more modest path with a slower pace. I do not have the answer as I cannot walk the same path twice, but I am sure of one thing – having a clear plan, focused dedication, belief in yourself and being surrounded with great people can bring amazing results. The second part of the journey was challenging in a different way. I vividly remember April 2020, when the world paused, and the legal community worried about the workflow. And how quickly this turned around, bringing the busiest years we've ever seen, especially in M&A. For me, the last 5 years where even better as new leaders emerged in our firm that brought our services to the next level. As we look back on the Paris 2024 Olympics, the parallel is clear. There was a lot of sacrifice and hard work. Sometimes we won, sometimes we lost. But the direction was clear from day one – forward and to the top. However, one thing has to be said very clearly. I would not be where I am today without amazing people that joined me on this path. Some chose different directions, many stayed. I am grateful to each and every one of them as they all contributed to who we are today. THANK.YOU.ALL. #10yearanniversary #4monthstogo

**How a Fun Tradition Taught Me the Value of Connections** At the end of 2021, I decided to approach New Year’s Eve differently. Instead of a big party or a quiet evening at home, I spent the night reconnecting with friends and loved ones. I called it being a "New Year’s Tourist"—visiting as many people as I could to reflect on the year together and share a smile before the calendar changed. This wasn’t the first time I’d embraced a tradition like this. As a teenager, I made it my mission to meet everyone who had been part of my life that year before December 31st. But as time passed and life grew more complex, the tradition fell away. Reviving it in 2021 reminded me of the power of human connection. That night, I ran around Vilnius, stopping to visit people who had shaped my year, no matter how briefly. I saw smiles, shared stories, and felt a deep sense of gratitude. In 2022, I pushed myself further—more stops, more people, and more connections. By 2023, I was exhausted and decided to skip it. But when I woke up on New Year’s Day, I realized that something felt incomplete. This tradition isn’t just about celebrating the end of the year; it’s about nurturing relationships, showing gratitude, and starting the new year with a full heart. This year, I’m ready to embrace my “New Year Nomad” adventure again, because I’ve learned that these moments of connection fuel me—personally and professionally. What traditions or rituals help you recharge and reflect? #HolidayTraditions #Networking #HumanConnection #Inspiration #LifeLessons

There are lot of wisdom sayings about life, success, job.. trying to remember at least one about job (without google help or my notes) and the one which comes to my mind - It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop (Confucius). From my personal perspective, life is a journey and journeys could be very different - one part of it could be easy and smooth, another part could be bumpy and challenging, third thrilling and rewording and no matter what I want to take small steps and move forward in this journey. Not because I must, but because I want to explore. Today we are celebrating 3 years Bday at #GuidehouseLithuania and I am counting my 3rd year anniversary in this journey too. Company which was not known in Lithuania market 3 year ago now connects more than 400 employees, ideas which we had back in 2021 now became a reality, and my personal fears, which I had while stepping as a new leader into this role evolved to a new fear. But still one thing remained the same – its’ interesting for me to explore new things – in organization, in people, in myself, environment I am at, dynamics we all operate and so on. And I believe as long as you continue exploring new ideas and activities, you'll be enriching your life. 3 years of enrichments, what else I could wish for?! 😊 Maybe additional 3 to go and see what are these next chapters in the life of #Guidehouse will bring. And for today - no pictures, as all already taken of others who also celebrate same occasion as I. #Guidehouse Lithuania #3rd Birthday #Celebration #Peoplefirstculture
