I went for a walk… On the Camino de Santiago! As the Galicians say, many paths lead to Santiago de Compostela and last week I took the English Way (Camino Inglés), totaling: 👣193,419 steps 📏117,5 km / 72 miles 🏘️29 towns 🗓️5 days ✅3 blisters 🥾1 pair of very broken in hiking boots 😬Sore everything Why am I sharing this here? Not only does completing the Camino (walk) mean you get you an official pilgrimer #certification (in my opinion the ideal certification for #lifelonglearning). But also because LinkedIn is a platform for professional #networking, as well as #sharing, #inspiration, and #learning. And while the benefits of walking, unplugging, reflection, and being in nature are well known, it was truly so much more than I expected. So, what are a few Camino #ideas that I believe are worth spreading for both our personal and professional lives? ⬇️ 💪 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕠𝕗 𝕓𝕖𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕖𝕣 𝕗𝕠𝕔𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕. From day one I knew exactly how many kilometers needed to be completed. My one task and goal every day was solely to complete the daily distance. Nothing else. And there was so much beauty in that simplicity. 💡What can you get laser focused on to make sure you reach your goal(s). 🎒 𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕝𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕘𝕠 𝕗𝕦𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 - 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪. While I by far had the biggest backpack of us all - over time my bag got lighter and I got faster. 💡What extra things are you carrying in your backpack? What can you let go of to make you go further? 🏆 𝕂𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕖𝕪𝕖𝕤 𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕣𝕚𝕫𝕖. The Camino was marked with distance markers (to the third decimal point!), making it very clear how much I had accomplished and how much more was left. 💡What are ways you can digitally or physically track project or personal goals to help you attain them? Last but not least! 🤍 𝕄𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕠𝕞 𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕦𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕤! Along the Camino fellow pilgrimers and locals shared their constant support with the phrase “Buen Camino”, or good walk. Such gentle acts of kindness from complete random strangers - is what kept me going. 💡How can you celebrate and support others, even random strangers. 🏆Best Co-Caminoer goes to Mikeala Sparks 🏆Best sock award goes to WOMEN OF TECH CONFERENCE GERMANY '24 ❓Plans to go in the Camino? Have you done anything similar? #Certified #NewSkill LinkedIn for Learning #SheTransformsIT

During my recent visit to Nürnberg, where I had the honor of participating in the selection committee for the Max Weber Programm of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, I seized the opportunity to revisit one of the city's most iconic landmarks - the Schöner Brunnen. Whenever I am there I make it a point to stop by this magnificent fountain, a masterpiece that has stood in the marketplace since the 14th century. The Schöner Brunnen, or "Beautiful Fountain," is not only a piece of medieval artistry but also a beacon of lore and tradition. Among its richly decorated figures that depict the world-view of the Holy Roman Empire, there lies a golden ring embedded in the iron grilles. And, you guessed it, spinning it is said to bring good luck - I am not superstitious, but it is still fun spinning it. Each visit, I'm reminded of the unique stories and legends that global destinations harbor, enriching our travels and experiences. I find that such landmarks add a layer of cultural depth and personal enjoyment to our work travels. Whether it's the vibrant history of a medieval fountain in Germany or a bustling street market in Asia, there's always something fascinating to discover. These experiences not only broaden our horizons but also connect us more deeply with the places and people we encounter in our professional journeys. To my fellow travelers and expatriates: What are some of the memorable landmarks you've encountered in your travels? How have these places enriched your experiences abroad? #SchönerBrunnen #MasteringGM #travelstories #Nürnberg -- 🌍 Interested in more insights on Global Mobility, HR, and International HRM? Intentions ✨ I've been thinking about this for years. It didn't happen overnight. 🌱 In June I was in Anceu Coliving, a place full of magic. It's a rural co-living in Galicia, where we live together people from more than 10 different nationalities. 🗺️ 🏡 Sharing in the everyday fosters familiarity, allowing you to feel at home even in a new place. 👤 I can see that there was a people-centered design, with spaces planned to give comfort to their colivers (coliving participants). This way, we have enough peace and quiet to not feel overwhelmed by living with 15 other people. ❤️ Many people (and animals) synchronize to create the soul of the place. It is lived in love, care and respect. I repeat, I have been thinking about this for years when still living in Argentina. It didn't happen overnight. I asked for it. ✨ I am aware of the great privileges I have had and have in my life. 🤲 I am mindful of all the people who inspired me to pursue this type of online work, which allows me to live in an international community. 👣 I am also aware of the efforts I made to be where I am and to lead this lifestyle that I dreamed so much, that I intended so many times. Not everything is magic, choosing this lifestyle makes me miss many other moments with my family and friends. It is clear to me, these are life choices and I must be guided by what my inner compass indicates. 🧭 🌍 I knew I wanted to participate in international projects, to belong to global communities that nurture my experiences and enhance my life learnings. 👣 Step by step I created the life I wanted for myself, and I am living the life I want to live. I am here to live, to accompany people in their life projects, and nothing better than nurturing mine to be able to inspire others. ✨ I created BWell Lab with Tomás Nores to be able to work remotely, in projects that promote people's quality of life and to be able to be in places like this. What steps are you taking for your dreams? What are going to be your intentions this month? #Intentions #Dreams #Lifestyle

When I first moved to Tallinn (in 2021), I quickly realized just how much is always happening here—new events, developments, openings, and so much more. It's exciting, but it can also feel a bit overwhelming. 🤯 I started to notice that it wasn’t just me; even people who’ve lived here for years, and locals, sometimes feel out of the loop. That got me thinking: how can we make it easier to stay connected with everything going on in this vibrant city? That’s how Gamma Tallinn was born. A simple idea: a short, curated update delivered three times a week. Events you might want to check out, news that matters, cool new places to visit, and some insider tips. 💡 It’s our way of sharing what we learned while exploring Tallinn—and making sure none of us miss out on the things that make this city so special. Embracing the Journey, Not just the Destination! Why do we often reserve platforms like LinkedIn just for celebrating big wins? Our professional journeys—those small, pivotal steps along the way—deserve recognition too. I like to think of them as "intermediate destinations," much like the planned and unplanned landmarks that guide us through a busy city. Today, I’m sharing my intermediate destination: transitioning from a working professional in Australia to restarting my career in Germany. The past 1.5 years have been challenging, with the language barrier being one of the biggest hurdles. Yet, perseverance, impeccable support from my husband Viraj Soni, and sheer hard work have paid off. I’ve just completed my B2 Berufssprachkurs at Volkhochschule Friedrichshain and Neukölln, Berlin—a crucial step on this ongoing journey. This isn’t the end—it’s just another small step on a long journey. I’m excited to continue moving forward, and I encourage everyone to celebrate their own "intermediate destinations." Let’s use this platform not only to showcase where we’ve arrived but also to honour how far we’ve come. Here’s to all the professionals out there navigating their own unique journeys—let’s keep supporting each other along the way! 🌟 #JourneyNotDestination #LessonsLearned #BehindTheScenes #WorkInProgress #CareerDevelopment #OvercomingChallenges

Celebrating World Giraffe Day with Walking TALL At Walking TALL, we believe that presence and impact aren't about height but the impact we can make and lasting positive influence we can have on people's lives. In honor of World Giraffe Day, we're celebrating the majestic giraffe, a perfect symbol of our philosophy which is why I chose it way back as part of our brand. Here are three lesser-known facts about giraffes and why they embody the essence of Walking TALL: 1. Unique Communication: Giraffes communicate using infrasound—sounds below the range of human hearing. This ability to communicate subtly yet effectively aligns with our belief that true presence often lies in the unseen and unheard, making a quiet yet profound impact on how we make people feel. 2. Incredible Vision: Giraffes have excellent vision, allowing them to see great distances. This trait represents our commitment to foresight and clarity in our actions, helping individuals and organizations see beyond immediate challenges to achieve long-term success. 3. Strong Heart: A giraffe's heart can weigh up to 25 pounds and is powerful enough to pump blood up their long necks. This symbolizes the strength and resilience required to make mindset changes, reminding us that true power comes from within. Why the Giraffe as Our Logo? I am a mere 5 feet 1.5 inches tall! My height (or lack of it) featured strongly in my childhood days, both negatively and positively. When I wrote my first book, I tried to come up with a title that had some connection with my brand or my life’s history so far, and height popped up! Walking TALL came to me, that became the title of the book and when it became successful, I re-branded my entire company to the same name. Today my clients remember the name Walking TALL and on occasion I get called The Giraffe Lady – how comical is that! It has truly worked as a brand name for differentiation. Celebrate World Giraffe Day with us and embrace the power of presence to make a difference that truly counts. #WorldGiraffeDay #WalkingTALL #PresenceAndImpact #MakeADifference #GiraffeSymbolism
