The Art of Reflow: Witnessing the Melting Process with the #HiCam from pb tec solutions GmbH For every Reflow operator, observing the smallest components as they undergo the melting process is a moment of awe and precision thanks to the #HiCam. The journey begins with careful placement of tiny electronic components onto a PCB. These components, often no larger than a grain of rice, are arranged to a perfect alignment. As the PCB enters the reflow oven, the temperature gradually rises, and the magic begins to occur. The solder paste, which initially holds the components in place, starts to melt. This is the critical phase where the operator’s keen eye and expertise come into play. Watching the solder transform from a solid to a liquid state, enveloping the component leads and creating secure electrical connections. The reflow process demands precision and control. We check wraps for holes... that makes sense, as the wrap is the protective sterile barrier. What about Rigid containers? Their combination of filters and reusable gaskets forms the protective barrier, yet many people just take a look at the filters.
