Today kicks off our internal audit series, as we share a few key content changes from the previous to the latest Global IA Standards. 📝 DEFINE: Define Essential Conditions “Essential conditions” is a new concept in the latest Standards, introduced in Domain III: Governing the IA Function. Standards 6.1-8.4 in Domain III define and outline the roles, or “essential conditions”, the Board and Senior Management must uphold for the Internal Audit function to fulfill its purpose effectively. By defining roles more clearly, high-level leadership with finite time—the Chief Audit Executive, Board, and Senior Management—can better align for success.
