This experience has provided me with a solid foundation in computer science and has honed my skills in various domains, including: 🔹 Thinking more methodically and solving problems efficiently 🔹 Programming procedurally and applying abstraction 🔹 Handling data structures, algorithms, and memory management 🔹 Learning new languages, frameworks, and systems (from C to Python, SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Flask) 🔹 Exploring cybersecurity and understanding privacy and security threats 🔹 And much more, like building a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals! I am a developer and I am also a teacher. The former takes 90% of my time; while the latter utilises the remaining 10%. The job of a developer does not end when the user begins to use the software; continuous maintenance and support are core components of software development. Security is also crucial; the 'bad boys' can frustrate the several hours spent in coding by introducing malware that can infect the system and make it to malfunction. This can be frustrating, really frustrating. However, as a teacher of computing, I enjoy impacting knowledge in the abstract, but practical field of 'Algorithm Design' which also forms the core component of software development.
