🌟 Fostering positive Mental Health at Work 🌟 Movember is not just about growing a mustache; it’s about raising awareness for men’s mental health. That’s why, in the spirit of Movember we set out to focusing on both our physical and mental well-being. Today, along with colleges Jarrad Bowen & Brett Smith, we took on the Fremantle Running Festival Half Marathon Relay under the banner of ABB Running Team. With a respectable time of 1:32:29 it was a great outlet to undertake some physical activity to foster positive mental health. 💡 Why this matters: • Regular physical activity is proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. • Sharing time together outside of work helps build stronger, more connected teams. • Movember reminds us that it’s okay to not be okay and encourages us to check in with our colleagues, friends, and family. One of the ways we’re doing this? 🏃🏼♂️🅰️🅱️🅱️ Run Club! 🏃♀️ 🔔Setting off from The Bell Tower, Elizabeth Quay - 630am every Wednesday morning. A light 5km followed by a coffee to unwind & debrief. Everyone is welcome, colleagues, clients & friends alike - so reach out to Jarred, Brett or myself and we look forward to seeing you down there. This month, let’s make a conscious effort to prioritize our well-being and support one another, both in and away from work. https://lnkd.in/gg2A7emY #Movember #MentalHealthMatters #ABBRunClub #EmployeeWellbeing #TeamSpirit

Join us in honouring Mental Health Awareness Week! We are well aware that mental health issues don’t just last a week. However, during this special week (May 13th to May 19th), we're dedicating ourselves to raising awareness and supporting our teams, the processes will continue into the future and become habit. Throughout the week, we have an array of activities planned to promote well-being and resilience. Starting Today: ● Later tonight, we’ll be involved in a rowing competition at Damflask Reservoir, promoting physical activity and camaraderie. ● Walking meetings: Embracing the outdoors and conducting meetings/briefs outside or on walking paths (weather permitting). Let's get moving while we work! Tuesday: ● STAUFF Active: A static bike, rowing machine, and cross trainer will be set up for employees to use. The shared “minutes moved” will equate to money raised for Sheffield Mind. Wednesday: ● Bake Sale: Indulging the sweet tooth of the company! The team have been invited to bring their homemade treats for our bake sale, with proceeds benefiting Sheffield Mind. No matter where you are on your mental health journey, you're not alone. Let's come together to support one another and spread awareness. Stay tuned for more details on each event! Together, we can make a difference. www.stauff.co.uk #stauff #connectwithstauff #fluidpower #hydraulics #britishmanufacturing #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #YouMatter

Mental Health Awareness Week is underway, and this year's theme is "Movement - moving more for your mental health". As a tennis player, I can attest that playing tennis is not only a great way to stay physically fit but also an excellent way to support your mental well-being. Playing tennis engages your entire body and releases endorphins, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. Tennis also provides an opportunity for social interaction, fostering a sense of community, reducing loneliness, and boosting self-esteem. Additionally, the sport requires split-second decision-making, enhancing cognitive function and keeping your mind sharp, which is essential for overall mental agility. The rhythmic movement of tennis acts as a form of meditation, reducing stress, and allowing you to temporarily escape daily worries. Playing tennis outdoors exposes you to fresh air, sunlight, and nature, boosting vitamin D production, which is essential for mood regulation and mental health. Setting tennis-related goals gives you a sense of purpose, boosts self-confidence, and provides a sense of accomplishment. Tennis provides a healthy outlet for releasing pent-up emotions. The act of hitting the ball can be cathartic and allows you to channel your energy constructively. So, the next time you step onto the tennis court, remember that you're not only playing a sport but also nurturing your mental health. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, the benefits extend beyond physical fitness. 🎾😊 https://lnkd.in/ds-w6faU Disclaimer: Always consult a healthcare professional for personalised advice regarding mental health and physical activity. 🌟

What an incredible day!☀️ Yesterday, I ran in the Runna Mental Health Marathon to raise awareness about mental health and donate to Samaritans Charity. The event was amazing, with a great atmosphere and hundreds of people. I want to applaud the organizers and all the team members who contributed to this fantastic event. Since a young age, NLP and sports have been a constant in my life. I have always been active in volleyball, tennis, trekking, and now crossfit. Over time, I've identified several KPIs that are relevant in both sports and professional life. ⭐️ I can't always run 100%. The burning desire to conquer each WOD is powerful, but it's important to recognize the need to avoid injury and burnout in the long run. ⭐️ Discipline. Is choosing between what I want now and what I want most. ⭐️ Consistency. No matter how advanced or well-designed a training system is, its effectiveness is bound to the athletes' commitment and consistency to achieve and sustain peak performance metrics. ⭐️ Community. By fostering a strong connection between the team or athlete and their supporters, a lasting relationship can be developed. The real supporters join a team or an athlete by faith, by bond. It's something like an innate instinct, a priceless connection that sometimes can't event be explained. #mentalhealth #KPIs

Football dominates conversations right now, passionately adored and followed by millions across the UK. Many people can't go a day without discussing it. When men run out of things to say, they often turn to football. Imagine if we could channel that same enthusiasm into discussions about topics like mental health, and de-stigmatize it one conversation at a time 🥺 Charities, public health organisations, and brands are harnessing the power of sports, particularly football, to positively impact men's lives. Where do men often connect? At football matches. Football fans spend eight times more time on football than on romantic relationships and other friendships. Statistics reveal that 44% of men have never discussed their mental health with anyone, with 1 in 3 feeling "too embarrassed" to do so. The Euros present a significant opportunity to shine a light on men's mental health and foster open conversations about wellbeing. These gatherings create a platform for men to connect, and engage in meaningful dialogue. If you are seeing your friends tonight, check in on them!! ⚽ #Euros2024 #England #MentalHealth #MensMentalHealth

This Movember, I want to acknowledge and celebrate the men who have reached out to tap with me. From managing burnout and overwhelm to processing trauma, working through significant physical challenges like pain and illness, and navigating emotional struggles like grief, anger, and shame—these aren’t just ‘men’s issues’ or ‘women’s issues’; they’re human challenges we all face. I’m grateful for their openness, their willingness to try something new, and their courage to connect rather than stay silent. It’s inspiring to see more men benefit from the relief and resilience that EFT Tapping can provide as part of their journey. If you're feeling weighed down by stress, tapping can be an effective way to regain balance and find a sense of ease. 💙 #Movember #MentalHealth #EFTTapping #MensWellness #Resilience #YouAreNotAlone Learn more about Movember
