We recognize Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions that generations of Americans from Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander backgrounds made to our nation's history, society and culture. Bayer’s Business Resource Group BASIA (Bayer Asian Society Inclusion Alliance) theme for this year’s #AANHPI celebration is embracing resilience. The American Psychological Association defines resilience as the process and outcome of successfully adapting to challenging life experiences, primarily through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands. The American story, a testament to resilience and strength, is intricately woven with the voices and legacies of AANHPI individuals. Their contributions have been instrumental in building and uniting our country. By embracing their resilience, we can draw inspiration to overcome life's challenges and emerge stronger. #TeamBayer

The San Diego Foundation is sharing its State of San Diego Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders Report, developed in partnership with the San Diego Regional Policy & Innovation Center. The report shows that the AANHPI community is a diverse group of people with their own cultures, languages and religions. And what an event it was! Made possible and all the better with those who attended and participated. The work we do is all about people. Engaging with them. Learning from them. Educating each other. Sharing experiences with each other, all while trying to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces. I've just been reading over my notes and the responses to the evaluation survey. It helps to re-energy me, focuses my mind on next steps and helps me develop new ideas for the work we are doing. And what can be more inspirational than this? When asked to describe in one word or short sentence what attendees thought of the event, this what they had to say: 🗣 Insightful 🗣 So helpful and gained knowledge 🗣 Brilliant, learned so much 🗣 Safe 🗣 Insightful, thought-provoking and meaningful 🗣 Inspirational! 🗣 Felt I could be open. Felt I could be me and when asked, how likely are you to recommend Diversity+ events to others? we got a 9.6 out of 10 rating. Now that's pretty impressive. Guess we'll have to do more events 🤷🏾♀️ Iona Nelson Gloria Adetula Anmol Rana Diversity+

It's today! I secured a ticket to the now-sold-out event being run by the talented Naeema Yaqoob Sajid (She/Her) in celebration of South Asian Heritage Month with the theme "Free to be me" I'm looking forward to listening, celebrating, and learning more about Naeema's bespoke topic of 'what “free to be me” means for South Asians in the Scottish legal profession'. As Naeema puts it ❔ what divides us ❔ what unites us and as ever an important stocktake and provocation of ✅ where we are now and 🤔 what the future holds #SouthAsianHeritageMonth #Culture #Diversity #Inclusion #Learning #EveryDayASchoolDay #Celebration #DiversityPlus
