If I were to bootstrap a marketing team in 2025, this is exactly how I’d do it. When you’re a startup or running a business with a lean budget, building an efficient marketing team to scale early-stage operations can feel tricky. But please don’t make the mistake of hiring just one marketer to handle all marketing operations. The key is hiring at least one role from each of these three categories: 🔀 Creative Team: This includes social media managers, content marketers, and copywriters. 🔀 Strategy Team: Brand marketers, product marketers, growth marketers, and marketing ops fall here. These folks are the masterminds behind the WHY and HOW of your marketing. 🔀 Analytics Team: Think marketing data analysts, performance marketers, SEO specialists, and paid ads experts. They turn numbers into actionable insights. You need at least one marketer from each of these groups to keep things balanced and effective. If you hire just one marketer to execute all of these because “they must be able to multitask,” then you are setting up for marketing failure. Trust me, it’s a surefire way to burn out even the most capable marketer. Build smart.
