Revit Evolution: Lessons Learned from Older Projects Recently, I had to work on a project created in one of the earlier versions of Revit. And it was a real lesson! Comparing it to the capabilities of the modern program clearly demonstrates how quickly BIM technologies are developing. The most noticeable changes: Interface: from cumbersome and incomprehensible to intuitive and user-friendly. Functionality: expanded modeling, analysis, and visualization tools. Performance: significant speedup when working with large projects. Conclusion: to remain a sought-after specialist, it is necessary to constantly improve and keep up with the times. What do you think? #BIM #Revit #design #selfdevelopment #professionalism

A model health check in Revit is important because it helps ensure the integrity and reliability of the building information model (BIM). Here are some reasons why: 1. *Data accuracy*: Checks for errors in data, such as duplicate or missing elements, incorrect coordinates, or inconsistent families. 2. *Model performance*: Identifies issues affecting model performance, like excessive complexity, incorrect geometry, or over-modeling. 3. *Collaboration*: Ensures consistency and compatibility when working with multiple users, disciplines, or software versions. 4. *Quality control*: Verifies compliance with design standards, company protocols, and industry regulations. 5. *Error prevention*: Catches potential errors before they become major issues, reducing rework and improving overall project quality. 6. *Improved collaboration*: Facilitates smoother data exchange and coordination with other stakeholders. 7. *Better decision-making*: Provides a reliable basis for analysis, simulation, and visualization, enabling informed design decisions. 8. *Time and cost savings*: Early detection of issues reduces the need for costly rework and minimizes delays. By regularly performing model health checks in Revit, we can maintain a robust, efficient, and accurate BIM, ensuring a successful project outcome. #model #health #check #important #post

𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁? 🏗 In this webinar, I discussed this topic. We all know that BIM is not just Revit, and it's not considered a smart statement to say "Revit is not BIM" 🧠 But as someone who wants to start today, what should I do? Should I say Revit isn't BIM and move on to learn something else? 🤔 In my opinion, everything starts with learning Revit. Not just the 3D model, but learning every tool Revit offers gives us a broad view so we can delve deeper and learn more about BIM topics. 📐 I believe BIM starts with Revit, and this software is better than others. My opinion is that Revit + Dynamo + Navisworks is considered the start of BIM software work. 💻 What do you think? What experience do you have from starting your journey in BIM? 🚀 By Your Side💙 Amir Karami #BIM #Revit #Dynamo #Construction #collaboration #Architecture #RevitMEP #bim_coordinator #bim_modeler #bim_manager #BuildingInformationModeling #architect #Rhino3D #BuildingDesign #AutoCAD #Rhino3D #BIM_Projectct #Navisworks #ClashDetection #BIM
