This is a very strong market signal that Carbon credits from ARR meet high integrity standards of the Core Carbon Principles of ICVCM. Hopefully the prices can go up to make investments in ARR more attractive to private sector.

The market is moving back to logic and climate action (vs ideology fueled immobilism). The VCM is a wonderdul mechanism to transfer capital from polluters in rich countries to those protecting nature in poorer areas. It does not need to be perfect. It is already great. Good news for those of us involved in ARR projects in the nature-based space for carbon development. The approval of VM0047 will certainly help expedite investment decisions for financing these projects with a viable, credible pathway to high quality carbon credits. Planting trees for example. These projects are labour and capital intensive, and it can take years to generate first carbon credits. However, the effort is worth it if we are prioritizing additionality, enhanced local benefits/participation and other value added aspects.
