Every woman can be a leader too. Maryam Nawaz has become the FIRST female CM of Punjab province. She made history by becoming the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab Province in Pakistan. She broke barriers in a male-dominated political world. Here are some key takeaways: 1. Setting Examples for the Future Having a female Chief Minister sets a good example for other women. It shows that they can do anything they set their minds to. Every woman can be a leader. 2. Empowering Women and Girls Having a female Chief Minister makes women and girls feel strong and confident. It shows them they can achieve anything they want. Strong women build strong communities. 3. Appreciating Women's Roles: Maryam Nawaz's win shows that women's roles matter. Women do a lot for society, even if it's not always noticed. Recognizing women's achievements makes society better. And Maryam Nawaz's win reminds us how important women are. Every woman's role is important. -- These are just a few examples, and there are many other important lessons to be learned from women in leadership positions. P.S. What's your takeaway from this? P.P.S. What do you think about women in leadership?

Why are competent women leaders perceived as less likeable than their male counterparts when they demonstrate strong leadership? Moreover, why are women penalised for behaving in ways that contradict established gender norms? Why, as decisive, assertive, strong and competent leaders, are women often seen as nonconformist disrupters? It’s time to change the narrative. As soon as we stop associating effective leadership with ‘masculine’ traits, likeability will cease to be a dilemma for women leaders. Why? Because competency will be gender neutral. https://lnkd.in/gUaKqWes

What does International Women's Day mean to you? 🌍💜 🚺 For me it's about celebration, recognition and gratitude. Professionally, it's rare and exceptional female strategists, those leaders, paving the way for future generations of strategic thinkers, with their ability to inspire and uplift others along their journey. Those at the beginning of their careers, with different experiences and perspectives. And the unsung heroines in our daily lives. From the compassionate caregiver who teaches us about EQ, to the diligent entrepreneur whose perseverance turns dreams into reality, these women may not grace the headlines, but their influence is profound and far-reaching. They are the mentors in disguise, the pillars of quiet strength, and the everyday warriors who instil the values and determination to succeed. Personally, I'm bowing to the female family members with immense mental strength and positivity despite enduring illness. The inspirational friends and female connections who have launched their own successful businesses. But rarely, do we as women acknowledge and celebrate our own success, we may well be the role models that others look up to. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #WomenInStrategy #Leadership #Inclusion #Diversity

🌍 Transformational Tuesday Reflection: Breaking Barriers & Empowering Women 🌎 Yesterday, I had the honor of attending a workshop focused on women’s inclusion in the labor force and leadership roles during the MENA YES! event. I felt proud hearing about the incredible initiatives happening across Africa and beyond, but one aspect really shook me: despite these efforts, local cultural barriers still hinder women’s progress. For instance, in some regions, women in leadership are met with resistance. Their male counterparts may refuse to interact with them professionally, yet would have no issue if it were a man handling the same business. Women, therefore, find themselves needing to bring men into discussions to ensure deals are sealed. Even more concerning, in certain areas, women in leadership roles face the societal pressure of not being marriageable. These stories made me realize the urgency of continuing this conversation. How can we start shifting these deeply embedded mindsets? How do we empower women to rise above these barriers, not just for their own success but for the generations to come? The path forward requires collective action, education, and cultural transformation. It’s time we foster environments where women can lead, contribute, and grow without limitations. 💛 💬 How do you think we can challenge these mindsets and empower women to take more leadership roles around the world? 📢 Shout out to all the individuals, communities, and organizations striving for women’s inclusion in the workforce and leadership roles. And for their inspiring efforts, a special high five to : Education For Employment - Global (EFE-Global) African Leadership Academy Amanda Nthati Chembezi (She/Her) #TransformationalTuesday #WomenInLeadership #EmpowerWomen #ShiftTheMindset #CulturalBarriers #LeadershipForAll #InclusiveGrowth #GlobalProgress

Over the years, executive women have faced some challenges while striving to attain success, and one of the most significant issues they have encountered is gender bias. Although it's no longer as overt as it used to be, it still exists in more subtle forms, making it an everyday challenge for women in leadership positions. Breaking through stereotypes is tough, but as a community, we can make it happen. To help us do this, here are a few guidelines that we can all follow. 1. Be intentional in our work and life endeavors. 2. Be authentic in showing up as who we really are. 3. Build relationships and networks with like-minded female leaders. 4. Strive to create new leadership norms for women. If you're interested in learning more about this topic, check out this powerful Ted Talk by Robin Hause. She does an excellent job of explaining what we are up against. Let's work together to break down these barriers and create a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 Women in leadership roles often encounter challenges in generating revenue. Despite their expertise and capabilities, women leaders may face barriers such as gender biases, limited access to funding, and unequal opportunities compared to their male counterparts. To address this challenge, it's crucial to implement strategies that empower women to overcome these obstacles and drive revenue growth. This may involve advocating for gender diversity and inclusion in decision-making processes, fostering a supportive and equitable work environment, and providing women leaders with access to resources and opportunities for professional development. Additionally, promoting mentorship and networking initiatives can help women build valuable connections, acquire new skills, and access potential business opportunities. By addressing the underlying factors contributing to revenue challenges and creating a more supportive ecosystem for women leaders, organizations can unlock the full potential of female talent and drive sustainable revenue growth. Is female equal to male in leadership qualities??? We often see in our offices comparison between these two.but there is no end point to it.mostly what we see a lame jokes for comparison of qualities. Women tend to have a more cooperative, participatory style of leading. Men tend to have a more “command and control style,” according to the American Psychological Association. If we reduce the comparison and focuses more how can we utilise the qualities in more beneficial way in organisations, this would have solve many problems.. #femaleleadership #qualities #maleleaderahip #healthmanagement #organisations #traits #americanpsychologicalassociation
