Don't hate me -- but you should probably tell more lies to your audience in the interest of serving them. When it comes to storytelling -- we don't want all the facts -- we want the ones that matter. So if there were 10 of you at dinner, at a specific restaurant in West Hollywood that is on the corner of Robertson and Santa Monica BLVD -- but none of that matters to the story ... LEAVE IT OUT! You want to maximize the time your audience is thinking... "what happens next" or "how are they going to get out of this mess?" And not "who was with her again?" "Do I need to remember all these names/" "Let me google that restaurant's menu" So it's ok to take creative freedoms. Got a story question?
