🌿 Meet the Winners of the Most Sustainable Floristry Innovation Award 2024! 🌿 Following last year's debut success of our Most Sustainable Floristry Innovation award, we're thrilled to announce this year's winner chosen at the Harrogate Flower Show. The award isn't just about recognising excellence—it's about sparking change, driving innovation, and inspiring a more sustainable future in floristry. This year, we’ve seen incredible new approaches to making our industry greener, and today, we're celebrating one standout innovator that’s truly leading the way. 🏆 Congratulations to Weez & Merl! 🏆 Founded by visionary sisters Louise and Merl Thilly in 2018, Weez & Merl has revolutionised the way we think about waste in floristry. They’ve turned what was once considered non-recyclable LDPE plastic waste into stunning, handcrafted vases and furniture. Their commitment to a closed-loop system is more than just innovative—it’s essential. By recycling industry waste directly into beautiful, functional products, Weez & Merl are setting a powerful example of how we can all contribute to a sustainable future. ♻️ Check out this video of how they take LDPE plastic waste and make gorgeous hand-crafted bud vases. 💐 Here’s to a greener, more beautiful future, one bloom at a time! 🌸 #FloristryInnovation #WeezAndMerl #CircularEconomy #GreenFuture #InterfloraSayMore

World Environment Day 2024: Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future On this World Environment Day, I would like to share with you our dedication to a more environmentally friendly future and how we implement cutting-edge methods to guarantee the sustainable and ethical management of natural resources. A concrete example of green innovation is our warehouse located in Castel San Giovanni (PC). We are able to satisfy the energy needs necessary to keep over 500.000 bottles at a controlled temperature thanks to the 300 kW solar panel installation on the roof. We also have made improvements to our packaging throughout the time. Our packages are now 39% lighter than prior versions and are made entirely of FSC cardboard, of which 70% is composed of recycled paper. Furthermore, after packaging arrives at its destination, it can be all recycled. We work with partners who share our commitment to sustainability and the environment as we think that selecting a wine is a gesture of respect for the planet's ecosystems. Discover the wineries that truly care about the health of the environment, whether they are biodynamic, organic, or natural here: https://lnkd.in/ePJwQrs3 Our mission is to deliver outstanding, cutting-edge, and eco-friendly services. We are always more dedicated to simplifying all aspect of our operations, from the warehouse to the offices, in order to accomplish this. #Tannico #ForTheLoveofWine

🌱 Lamboo Dried & Deco Now Calculates the CO2 Footprint of Its Dried Flowers! Lamboo Dried & Deco can now measure the CO2 footprint of its dried flowers. The question, “How sustainable is something really?” is becoming increasingly relevant in today’s society. Through collaboration with Greenhouse Sustainability, we have gained valuable insights into the sustainability of our products. According to Lamboo Dried & Deco, dried flowers have a low CO2 footprint, indicating minimal environmental impact. For instance, our trendy Vibrant bouquet, featuring various dried flower types and colors, has a CO2 emission of just 0.53 kg. This figure includes everything from sowing and harvesting to drying, packaging, and preparing for transport—essentially from cradle to gate. To put this in perspective, the CO2 footprint of our bouquet is similar to making a cup of coffee with milk or sending an email with an attachment. In comparison, a bottle of wine has a CO2 footprint of 1.3 kg, while a chocolate bar comes in at 1.78 kg. Sustainability Efforts But that's not all! We create Dried Flower Based Paper from our own dried flower waste and avoid plastic—using only cardboard and paper tape. Additionally, we have installed 360 solar panels and use energy-efficient LED lighting to further minimize our ecological footprint. Key elements such as local cultivation, long shelf life, responsible non-refrigerated transport, and biodegradability all contribute to the low environmental impact of our dried flowers. #driedflowers #lamboo

Straight from the Source today…Can you Spot the Difference? Our fabulous Compost-A-Pak® products are plant based, made predominantly from third-grade corn. The challenge for consumers is to easily identify genuinely compostable products amongst a crowded shelf of questionable sustainability claims. “Part-plant based” - So you can’t recycle or compost? “Made from sea-bound plastics” - Sometimes simply processed within a facility miles off the coast? “Landfill-degradable” - Breaking down to microplastics? Look for the Australian Compostability logos, so you can trust the product you choose will breakdown without contaminating compost, and choose a high-quality brand. When you are picking up your dog waste, or carrying your FOGO liner across your new kitchen, quality counts! If you would like to know more about our range, please give us a call on 02 4953 7644. #AustralianCertifiedCompostable #Sustainable

We've partnered with Green Loop Mx to transition to eco-friendly pallets, consisting of 70% Agave bagasse and 30% sustainably sourced wood. Why did we decide to make this transition? Biopallets are made with Agave bagasse, reusing our waste from the Tequila and Agave Syrup making process. Ideal for heavy loads, biopallets offer greater resistance than conventional pallets. More than 90% of the energy used in making them is also generated by bagasse. A 1,000 biopallets translates to 80 tons of recycled agave bagasse. A batch of 1,000 biopallets conserves the equivalent of 40 trees. The bagasse comes from our own production processes, while GreenLoop ensures the wood comes from FSC-certified forests. #CasaNatima #tequilera #TequilaDistillery #AutenthicTequila #Contemporary
