Meble Polska sees imm upturn February’s Meble Polska - Furniture Trade Show is seeing increased demand with no imm cologne taking place next year. The 25-28 February event in Poznan was already on course to exceed 2024’s show and the record-breaking pre-pandemic 2020 edition. ‘The cancellation of the January edition of the imm Cologne fair has increased interest in participation from new companies. Even before we received the official information about the interruption of the Cologne fair, domestic and foreign companies that originally planned to present their offer at imm began contacting us. They are now looking for an alternative solution that would allow them to reach international furniture buyers. Meble Polska, with a strong representation of buyers from about 70 countries, in addition to being organised at a similar time, seems an obvious choice,’ says Józef Szyszka, Meble Polska director. Szyszka says there is ‘ample capacity’ for increasing the number of exhibitors and it is actively recruiting furniture manufacturers from Ukraine. ‘These activities are being carried out in cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers UAFM, which has recognized Meble Polska as the most effective sales promotion tool among all the furniture fairs UAFM has participated in in the past years. According to preliminary announcements, the national appearance of Ukrainian companies will be even larger than at the 2024 edition. ‘The industry is responding to the current situation with activity. Manufacturers are taking advantage of the Poznan furniture fair to diversify their portfolio of customers and expand the geographic structure of sales to new markets.’ https://lnkd.in/eFatKkEi #furniture #furnitureindustry #furnitureshow #tradefair

There's 2 things going on with the furniture industry. 1- Economic Slow Down is one key point. But that's the nature of business. Expand and contract. It's a cycle. 2- Importantly, B2B Tradeshows haven't adapted to drive better ROI for exhibitors, or better experience for Buyers. The financial and time investment is huge. It's a pity - I would argue, as exhibitors, we're ready to invest, but for the right reasons. Eg, Imagine if a retailer was still running a 1990 playbook? It would be a disaster. In my experience, Tradeshows are conservative, not innovative, and stuck in the past. If I run my business like how Tradeshows run their business, especially in the last 3 years, I would have had to close my business down by now. The Tradeshow experience in Vietnam demonstrates how bad it's gotten; 2 Tradeshows, one after the other, competing for the same customer, in a slowing market. Madness. Who benefits? When you lose sight of the customer, that's when things collapse. We would rather spend our money elsewhere and buyers don't have the budget to go to several shows, that are mostly ineffective anyway. There's a quote I would share when coaching startup founders and entrepreneurs who were struggling to understand the changing markets, 'The markets haven't disappeared. It's changed.' B2B Furniture marketing has changed. Furniture Design, Development and Manufacturing hasn't changed, we still need to be competitive, compliant and offer great products and services. What are your thoughts? As a side thought, I would argue that it's time for value-added Sales Representatives to shine. How to find a them? (I'm looking for the US market especially.) #furnituredesign #furnituremanufacturer #Vietnam #China #Dubai #DeepGreenStandard #sourcing #productdevelopment #interiors #architects #projects #retail #B2B #privatelabel #originaldesign #oem #odm
imm cologne's January 2025 edition will not place place, due to a difficult local market and lack of exhibitor demand, organiser Koelnmesse GmbH has confirmed. The decision was taken following "intense discussions and reflects the challenging conditions the #furniture #industry is currently facing, particularly in #Germany", says the exhibition organiser: "It gives everyone involved the chance to collaborate with Koelnmesse on the development of a new, more viable future trade fair format." https://lnkd.in/e3KEUauR #tradefair #furnitureindustry #marketing

imm cancelled for 2025 Next January’s imm cologne exhibition has been cancelled. Organiser Koelnmesse GmbH said the decision had been made in the face of falling demand in the German domestic market and German manufacturers reducing spending. ‘Pausing the imm cologne at this point in time is a logical decision, in view of the situation the industry currently finds itself in,’ says Gerald Böse, Koelnmesse chairman. ‘It was an extremely difficult decision to make, but it was also unavoidable in order to show our international customers some consideration. Due to its January date, imm cologne did not take place three years in a row during the pandemic. This lack of continuity, coupled with the current economic environment, makes it impossible for us as event organisers to guarantee an attractive range of exhibitors for the retailers in Cologne in January 2025. ‘We still intend to offer the furniture industry an international stage in Germany in future. We are already jointly developing very promising concepts that meet the changed requirements of all stakeholders as best as can be. Koelnmesse is the world's number one in interiors, as impressively proven by Orgatec, interzum and spoga+gafa. We must now steer our flagship back on course, together with the furniture industry.’ According to the Association of the German Furniture Industry, the German furniture market recorded a significant fall in turnover in 2023, as well as in the first six months of 2024. It dropped by 9.7% including a 11.2% fall for upholstery. ‘I understand the decision to skip next January's trade fair, and I'm sorry that the industry did not lend better support to its leading international trade fair. The imm cologne has been an important meeting place for the industry for decades. By taking a break next year, we will not only lose a central platform for innovation and exchange, but also an important stage for serving the international market. All of the industry's stakeholders are now urgently tasked with getting together and finding joint solutions. More than ever before, we must now concentrate on securing and strengthening our position. The industry needs a strong platform like imm cologne in order to restructure itself in a way that ensures its future viability,’ says Markus Meyer, German Furniture and Kitchen Retailers Association president. https://lnkd.in/eGiWMBPb

136th Canton Fair wrapped up on October 27th, and as always, I was thrilled to attend. Even being pregnant didn’t stop me from experiencing the excitement and connection that each exhibition brings. I'm deeply grateful to all the amazing clients who showed so much care and thoughtfulness—many even suggested we sit and chat to ensure I was comfortable. It’s these genuine, human connections that make every effort worthwhile. 🧡 🧡 This year, we introduced several innovative designs, and one of my favorites is our oak and resin cutlery. It's truly a game-changer in the market: 🎯Unique Material Combination: A one-of-a-kind blend of oak and resin that you won't find anywhere else in China. 🎯Enhanced Durability: We overcame significant production challenges to ensure these pieces are long-lasting and maintain their vibrant colors. 🎯Client Approval: The overwhelmingly positive response from clients reassures us that we’re on the right path. Interested in learning more about our new designs and the craftsmanship behind them? Let’s connect over a video call and explore the possibilities for your business! #B2B #Kitchenware #CantonFair #CutleryDesign #TradeShow #SustainableMaterials #InnovationInDesign #ClientAppreciation #OEM #ODM

The current balance of exhibitors applications to participate in the Meble Polska - Furniture Trade Show 2025, which will be held in Poznan from February 25 to 28, 2025, indicates that next year's edition of the Europe's top furniture sourcing fair will be larger than in February 2024. The problems recently faced by the furniture industry have not affected the condition of the event. 👉 Despite the mood of the industry - The industry is responding to the current situation with activity. Manufacturers are taking advantage of the Poznan furniture fair to diversify their portfolio of customers and expand the geographic structure of sales to new markets. At this point, the space ordered by exhibitors is the same as in the similar period last year. We are still waiting for final confirmation of the size of the stands by some of our regular exhibitors,” says MEBLE POLSKA Fair director Józef Szyszka. The Grupa MTP is also actively recruiting furniture manufacturers from Ukraine. These activities are being carried out in cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers UAFM, which has recognized MEBLE POLSKA as the most effective sales promotion tool among all the furniture fairs UAFM has participated in in past years. According to preliminary announcements, the national appearance of Ukrainian companies will be even larger than at the 2024 edition. The exhibition of the MEBLE POLSKA Fair currently occupies pavilions 3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A (HOME DECOR Exhibition), 6, 7 and 8. This is more than during the record-breaking pre-pandemic 2020 edition. It should be remembered that at that time half of the largest pavilion 5 was occupied by another event. 👉 Inquiries from IMM Cologne exhibitors The organizer is still accepting applications from exhibitors. And the number of those willing to participate in the MEBLE POLSKA Fair is still increasing. The cancellation of the January edition of the IMM Cologne Fair has increased interest in participation from new companies. - Even before we received the official information about the break i organization of the Cologne fair, domestic and foreign companies that originally planned to present their offer at IMM Cologne began contacting us. They are now looking for an alternative solution that would allow them to reach international furniture buyers. MEBLE POLSKA, with a strong representation of buyers from about 70 countries, in addition to being organized at a similar time, seems an obvious choice,” explains Jozef Szyszka. The Grupa MTP assures that it still has ample capacity to locate exhibitors in pavilions. 👉 Kick Off 2025 at Europe’s Top Furniture Sourcing Fair:https://lnkd.in/dDAa6MRF

Editor-at-Large Ray Allegrezza shares some thoughts about the recent High Point Market based on conversations he had with various exhibitors and other stakeholders. A key takeaway is that more and more buyers are coming early and leaving town before market officially starts. This leaves some exhibitors somewhat unprepared as they are still setting up showrooms and are just about to hold sales meetings. One source said its like having a dinner party that starts a 7 and folks show up a few hours early. In other words, totally bad manners. Let us know what you think. https://lnkd.in/eUPXwatR
