International Accord’s Post

🔉𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 The Pakistan Accord achieved a significant milestone this week: the completion of 100 factory inspections for fire, electrical, and structural safety at covered factories in Sindh and Punjab, Pakistan. This milestone represents a significant step towards the implementation of the Pakistan Accord and the commitment of its signatories to promote workplace health and safety in their Pakistani supply chain. Since January 2023, 128 global brands and retailers have signed the Pakistan Accord to work with their suppliers on worker safety, collectively sourcing over $3 billion worth of goods from Pakistan. The factory base of these signatories includes over 500 suppliers in Pakistan, employing over 574,000 workers. We extend our gratitude to our signatory brands, global unions, supplier facilities, colleagues, and all stakeholders for their continued support for the Pakistan Accord. #PakistanAccord #WorkerSafety #InternationalAccord

Denim Clothing was one of the first factories in Pakistan to be assessed by the International Accord, a landmark initiative that helped us substantially improve our fire, electrical, and building safety protocols.
