Updates On Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Accessibility laws in Canada are being updated to help ensure that technology is accessible for everyone. Right now, accessibility standards vary by province, but there's a push to make these rules more similar across the country. This could change how Ontario’s accessibility laws (the AODA) are developed in the future. One key focus area is Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including websites, mobile apps, kiosks, and office devices. Currently, the AODA already covers web accessibility and kiosks, but future updates might align Ontario’s rules with other provinces and national standards to ensure that people with disabilities can access and use these technologies across the country.
