Sharing knowledge and expertise as an experienced operator in Polar environments - This is very exciting and what a great way to gain further insight for the Arctic community 🤩 #arctic #cooperation #polar #naval #research #technology #positive #impact #future #norwegian #american #product #development #workshop
Recently, we welcomed a large delegation of participants to our HQ in Tromsø, from the International Cooperative Engagement Program for Polar Research. The visit was held in conjunction with the Inaugural Polar Remote Sensing Workshop to Address Arctic Operations and Technological Advancements, organized by the Office of Naval Research, NORCE Norwegian Research Centre, Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI and the American Presence Post in Tromsø. As an experienced operator in Polar environments, with our home and heritage in the Arctic, we were happy to share our insights and expertise with this community and even more importantly, get to hear first-hand accounts from various workshop participants of how our products, services and capabilities are currently being used in the Arctic environments and have positively impacted these important missions. Thank you for coming to see us! 🛰

#OurOcean2024, organised by Our Ocean Greece in Athens, began almost simultaneously with the lighting of the Olympic torch in Delfi. A beacon of confidence, hope and continuity - these are also the efforts of this conference, which opened with inspiring and impactful speeches this morning. Here is why Téthys Naval was invited to participate: Ocean responsibility and sustainability should go hand in hand with maritime security. A sustainable ocean community requires a secure environment that goes beyond #FreedomOfNavigation. It is of prime importance to always be aware that respect for the rule of law at sea is not only the backbone of prosperity. It is the #corevalue of our universal principles as a society and community. And it applies to everyone - at sea as on land. This is the true value of #maritimesecurity. #UNSDG #SDG14 #SDG16 #ESG #oceanscience #marinescience #sciencesecurity #shippingindustry #maritimelaw #ruleoflaw #oceanmanagement #humanrightsatsea #lawsoftheseas #justiceatsea #securitycomfort Maria Gavouneli, Maxi Schoeman, Spyros Blavoukos, Pavlos Petidis

🇵🇹 Portugal is a marine country in the southwest of Europe, and today we celebrate Camões, Portugal, and the Portuguese Communities. Camões was our greatest poet of all times, who lived during the 16th century, and left an epic poem called "Os Lusíadas", portraying the odyssey of Portuguese navigators around the world. 🌍 Portuguese communities around the world are also praised today, always remembering the cultural roots that link them back to their home land. Those communities are extremely important, bringing the name and history of Portugal to those who were unaware of it. 🗺 With an area in excess of 4 million Km², mostly composed of water, Portugal has large under water reserves of highly demanded minerals, not yet fully explored. If sustainably explored it can be an economic benefit, but its defense is currently a challenge for the Portuguese Navy, and what great Digital Twins can be made from this concept. #Portugal #Camoes #Communities #navigator #lusiadas #worldmap #minerals #sustainability #mine #economy #navy #discovery
