Jorge G. Augello, Director of Acuantia, was another expert we had the chance to interview during the ALADYR Congress. The question we posed to him was: How do you view the issues of water reuse, particularly in Brazil, and desalination in relation to BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) models? Jorge shared his insights and experience in the market, as well as how Acuantia is positioning itself on these topics. Throughout the event, we had quick conversations with several people, which we are now sharing with you here. Leave your comment below and share this with your network. #aladyr #waterpositive #reuse

I recently had the privilege to delve into the transformative discussions on the future of phytosanitary measures at the 18th Commission for Phytosanitary Measures. A particular highlight for me was exploring the IPPC ePhyto Strategic Implementation Plan 2024-2030, a roadmap steering us from programmatic efforts to a business-as-usual activity within the realm of electronic phytosanitary certification. This plan outlines an ambitious yet crucial vision: the global, secure, and efficient electronic exchange of phytosanitary certificates, making the process seamless across national plant protection organizations. It’s a testament to the power of digital transformation in facilitating safer and more efficient trade of plants and plant products. As of the end of 2023, the IPPC ePhyto Solution's impact is undeniable, with over five million electronic phytosanitary certificates exchanged, fostering international trade while safeguarding plant health. The plan for 2024-2030 is not just about maintaining this momentum; it's about enhancing the system’s governance, ensuring sustainable funding, and expanding the solution’s reach and interoperability. The strategic objectives and milestones laid out are a beacon for us as we navigate the challenges and opportunities of digital phytosanitary measures. It underscores the importance of international cooperation, continuous technological advancement, and a strong governance structure. I'm inspired by the collaborative spirit and innovation at the heart of the IPPC’s efforts. It’s clear that as we move towards more integrated and digital global trade systems, initiatives like the IPPC ePhyto Solution will be crucial in paving the way for a more secure and efficient future. Let's embrace this journey towards a digital revolution in plant health and trade, ensuring our actions today secure a healthier, more prosperous tomorrow for global agriculture. #IPPC #ePhyto #DigitalTransformation #PlantHealth #GlobalTrade #Sustainability #ISF #seedislife #IAG https://lnkd.in/e6pyWBQ8

Finally got round to sorting tickets for the European Biosolids conference later this month....better late than never. Always a great opportunity to keep up with the all the developments impacting sewage sludge - which is an area in quite significant flux at the moment with both known and potential regulatory changes. In addition it allows me to maintain and make new connections with people who share the passions for this fascinating area of the water sector. #sludge #biosolids #bioresources https://lnkd.in/eNpQdihu
