Has your agrochemical, pesticide or industrial chemical shown thyroxin modulation? Our team can investigate and identify species-specific differences in mechanisms for thyroxin (T4) modulation. This enables you to address questions about human relevance, navigate regulatory concerns, and respond to data requests for safety profiles, environmental impact, and human health risk assessments. Book an appointment with our expert John McManus to find out how we can support your regulatory requirements: https://bit.ly/3WiVrnO Learn more: https://bit.ly/4cCP2tk #ThyroxinResearch #RegulatorySupport #HumanHealthRisk #EnvironmentalImpact #SafetyProfiles #JohnMcManus #SpeciesSpecificResearch #HealthRiskAssessment #RegulatoryCompliance #BookAnAppointment #ExpertConsultation #ScientificResearch #DataRequests #HumanRelevance #T4Modulation #SafetyAssessment #ResearchSupport

Pesticide manufacturers and registrants, like many other companies, are facing increased pressure to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from their products. This pressure, however, is often focused on how the substances are defined as a class, rather than how science has measured the toxicity of each specific substance within it. This is particularly troubling with respect to PFAS because most of the substances in the class lack any scientific evidence of an ability to harm humans, animals or the environment. For more information on efforts to ban PFAS as a class in pesticides, read our (Joo Cha Webb and Julie Michalski) alert below.

A new study in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives indicates that PFAS account for 14 percent of all U.S. pesticide active ingredients. Authors of this article outline the research and make recommendations, such as the discontinuation of fluorinating plastic containers, identification of “inert” ingredients on pesticide labels and enhanced immunotoxicity tests for PFAS active and inert ingredients, among others. What are your thoughts and what role can academic researchers play? https://lnkd.in/gq5Z7VVW
