Politics Anyone??? Ready for this one?? Lets go!! It's under a week until we cast our ballots (ok Damian, I know you already did!! Bravo!) And... I've decided now is my opportunity to join the conversation. We have so many serious issues to deal with... everyone or someone, is talking about them. And thank goodness for polls to tell us how equally divided we are!! This is next level. Buckle your seatbelt. This one... it's about day to day life. Survival. Will we or won't we exist after this existential crisis...? I don't know. But if you care, about this country, business, economics and people... Watch this video. It's simple. Treat others well today and tomorrow is going to be ok... no matter what happens. Stay in the game. Life is far bigger than authority that governs. Leadership is a stakeholder game, not those granted power. It too is a choice. I don't really care who you vote for... I care more about what happens if I am ever faced with this very crisis. #joy #gratitude4freedom #gratitide4contrast #gratitide4kindness

Compassion is relational and embodied awareness that all of life is interwoven and interrelated. When we embrace compassion and commit to bringing it to all of our actions and interactions, global change can and will happen. Thank you Rev. Aizaiah G. Don’t feel like sharing much these days. In my view, to many things seem to be going the wrong way in the Western world I grew up in. You will probably say it’s not the same anymore and we tempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis. Well, I don’t and will refuse to do so. Call me old fashioned or inflexible but I live with the conviction that we had something wonderful in having liberal democracies based on sovereign nation states, boundly tightly together with free trade policies and strong regulatory agencies. Alas, people I have around me don’t seem to agree and so down we go the rabbit hole of huge federalist and supranational, leaning and unaccountable bureaucracies playing to the tune of rich and powerful lobbies and doing the bidding of hidden interests pursuing their own interests. It’s no wonder that in turn, we electors of the sovereign don’t get to vote on statesmen or stateswomen, by definition of the word, smart minds having the national interests of the sovereign at heart. What we get are narcissistic and opportunistic leaders always looking out for his or her own self interest. This also is what makes bureaucrats excel at their game. What we all get in return, is something like what Prof Jeffrey Sachs explains in this video. In case you live in the current bubble produced by state and mass media but still like to think and research on your own, still harbour goodwill towards the world you do NOT live in and still are grateful to the world you grew up in, please spend 20 minutes listening to him. The headline of the video I don’t like at all. It’s much more educational than that.

As the debate about the size of rate cuts rages on, market volatility can increase. That’s because we are now in the Federal Reserve blackout period - when FOMC members must stop sharing opinions with the public until the FOMC meeting). In today's Prinsights video capsule, I discuss job and financial market patterns to consider during this time. https://lnkd.in/e6-7F5ii

It is pretty easy to feel fear, isn't it? As business owners, so much depends on our decisions, and the environment is uncertain. There are competitive struggles, employee challenges, financial worries, and personal insecurities. Where to turn for help? Thankfully, fear is not new. The Bible discusses the typical reaction to threats and reassures us that God never leaves nor forsakes us. In other words, we can choose courage because of God's promises. Courage allows us to move forward despite fear. We talk of this often in our C12 Business Forums. We hear from peers who have experienced life and responded well. We take heart while remembering we are not alone. May we help you? We have spots for Christian CEOs in our 27+ business forums in North Texas. You are welcome to visit a meeting.
