I’ll continue talking about the journey of discovering “The Purpose” Before the moment of filming this video; I was always having that thoughts; so the feeling of being judged by people whom I was thinking they are important to me , but I realized that I’m important to them more and I add value to them perhaps more what they are going to add value to me , so I don’t care anymore about thier judgment. let me first introduce you to my Purpose and later will share how I reach here! I envision a world where rural retreats offer not only luxurious accommodations but also opportunities for personal growth, cultural immersion, and sustainable living. My mission is to develop sustainable rural properties that provide unforgettable experiences for visitors while empowering local communities and preserving the natural environment. My journey towards creating transformative rural experiences began with a deep-rooted passion for nature and a desire to connect people with the beauty and simplicity of the countryside. #ruraltourism #ecoresorts #ruralretreat #guestservice #staffdevelopment #hospitalityindustry #ruraldevelopment #realestateinvestment #natureescape #hospitality #outdoorliving #FarmToTable #RuralTourism #ConsciousTravel #NatureLovers #SustainableLiving #LocalFood #AuthenticExperiences #TravelInspiration #LocalEconomy #GuestExperience #InvestmentOpportunity #travel #sustainability

Supporting local communities is a key pillar of Rethinking Travel. Our collaboration with a local project in Spiti to help construct solar rooms fostered sustainable living and resilience for a community we visit on our trips. Rethinking Travel in Spiti In the harsh environments of Spiti, where winter temperatures can drop below -30°C, solar rooms harnessed sunlight to provide essential warmth. These rooms were a lifeline, enabling sustainable living, reducing energy costs, and ensuring survival amidst the unforgiving cold. Supporting Sustainable Living Our initiative directly benefited families from Kibber village. How It Worked: • Conversion: An existing room was converted. • Techniques: Widening windows, attaching a greenhouse structure, insulating walls. • Effect: Maintained inside temperatures at around 10°C, even when outside it was -25°C, without burning wood or fuel. Impact: Each solar room benefits one family but also served neighbors for activities like handicrafts and studying. When you travel with us, a part of it goes to creating a positive impact, it went to Rethink Travel! . . . . #SustainableTravel #CommunitySupport #RethinkingTravel #EcoFriendly #TravelWithPurpose #SolarEnergy #SpitiValley #ResponsibleTourism #TravelForGood #PositiveImpact #GreenTravel #TravelCommunity #UnWildPlanet #TravelSustainably #SupportLocalCommunities

We were impressed with this report from C Space, featuring treasured Eco Resort Network members ENVI Lodges. Chris Nader, Co-founder & CEO said, “More people than ever are living in cities, often overstimulated, with high levels of stress and anxiety. Wellbeing’s never been more important. Which is why we’re seeing massive demand, globally, for people to reconnect with nature so they can #disconnect from hectic urban lives. "ENVI is developing diverse lodging experiences anchored in #wellbeing and immersion in nature, where the boundaries between inside and outside are blurred. We call it outdoor #hospitality." Does “1.5 C above pre-industrial age” make you tune out about climate change impacts on the planet and on people? Probably, unless you're a scientist. Well, good news: An innovative study out of Massachusetts Institute of Technology measures the impact of climate change in terms of the number of “outdoor days” we might lose— or gain — by the end of the century. —>Outdoor days are defined as days with pleasant temperatures for most people to enjoy outdoor activities (winters sports excluded), including travel and tourism. —>The study, which used 50 climate models, finds there are clear winners and losers. And the contrast between the two is stark. Global North countries will get more outdoor days in the future, which will mean milder winters. And the greatest impacts are expected in tropical destinations... most of which are in the Global South. —>MIT's Professor Eltahir also created an accompanying online global map (https://lnkd.in/eSavcUst) that lets you look up countries, put in your favorite outdoor temps, to see just how many outdoor days will be lost and how the season will shift in that destination. —>So naturally, we decided to look up the most visited destinations in the world per UNTWO rankings, as well as some popular destinations that are tourism-dependent. It is honestly crushing to see the results. The impact on quality of life will be devastating for people in many places in the global south. And the size of the blow on tourism destinations is made evident. From my story: “The Dominican Republic, with 124 fewer outdoor days by 2100, will see a 50% drop in temperate climate year-round. Mexico, India, Thailand and Egypt, all in the Northern Hemisphere, will experience similar reductions, losing from 55 to 86 outdoor days a year. The United Arab Emirates will suffer, too.” —>More in my story today over on Bloomberg Pursuits, with input from the researchers as well as O'Shannon Burns from the Cornell Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise: https://lnkd.in/eEXN_A7e —>Lastly, destinations and tourism businesses: Could this study perhaps lead you to find the will to file a climate action plan? Or is it going to continue to be profits over people and planet? —>Travelers: There are many ways to #travelresponsibly, reduce your footprint at home and on your vacations, push back on brands that don't contribute meaningfully long-term to the places and people from which they profit, all while having amazing experiences and doubling your impact on the local economy. There are ways out there, and it's our collective responsibility to find them and spread the word. Happy #EarthDay2024. Let's keep the conversation going: Look up your home destination on Professor Eltahir's global outdoors map -- what does it say, and how did it make you feel? . #travelandtourism #conscioustourism #sustainabletravel #climateaction

Here's another simple way for #hotels to make their operations more #environmentally #sustainable: remove minifridges from most rooms. Keep them in a subset of rooms only, which you offer to #tourists who explicitly request a fridge. Why do we recommend this? Because the minifridge uses #electricity all the time (see blue bars with variations in dependence of room temperature only), but only a small number of guests actually appreciate the minifridge (see red bars - on many days only the cleaner opens the minifridge). This means we are generating #carbonemissions and wasting money on electricity for no good reason because we are not enhacing guest experience. I left #WTMLDN with mixed emotions yesterday. I love the spectacle, the sensory overload of drums, dancing, incense, and stunning landscapes projected on moving screens all around me. There's always a great buzz with plenty of networking opportunities, and when else can you hop off the Elizabeth Line and visit 184 countries under one roof? It never fails to excite and inspire, reigniting my passion for travel and my curiosity about other cultures. But after working at TerraVerde for over three years, I've learned a great deal from the team (Patrick Richards, Chris Fraser, Marina Bradford, Liza Degtyareva & Olivia Down) about the urgent need for the travel industry to adapt to more sustainable practices. If we want to preserve these postcard-perfect destinations for future generations, change is essential. There are practical steps every business can take to reduce its impact, but meaningful change will only happen if we work together—and we need to act fast. There were some compelling insights presented on the sustainability stage - thanks to Anna Pollock, Founder of Conscious Travel and Elke Dens, Founder of Place Generation, your insights really resonated with me. It’s heartening to see sustainability and regenerative tourism featuring more in the conference program. However, the stark contrast between the beautiful images showcased and the harsh realities we see more frequently in the news of wildfires, floods, and protests from communities affected by tourism, can no longer be ignored. The TerraVerde team is here to help any travel business ready to make the transition to a more sustainable business model. #SustainableTourism #RegenerativeTravel #Travel #Tourism
