🚀 What an exciting time we have ahead of us! 🏥 After yesterday’s presentation from the Australian Digital Health Agency on Transforming Health Infrastructure, I reflected on the exciting journey that we are embarking on, not just in Australia, but as a global digital health community! Yesterday the Agency ‘officially’ kicked off the path to an interoperable Health system (although work has been going on for a significant time already). It was a really in-depth discussion of the vision and the path to get there. A big thank you to Amanda Cattermole PSM Paul Creech Peter O'Halloran Nicole Gartrell Ryan Mavin Joanne Greenfield GAICD and the team for putting on a really informative presentation and for being as open and transparent as you could be. Also a big kudos to Daniel McCabe Simon Cleverley and team for their working in driving the policy shift to support such an endeavour. While the Australian journey directly impacts my family and I, it is also exciting to see similar paths being carved out around the world, in particular within New Zealand, the UK, Europe and Canada (the United States has already progressed on their journey, albeit on a slightly different trajectory). This push for interoperability and citizen-centric healthcare can only lead to better global health outcomes and it is exciting to be a part of this journey, both in Australia and across some of the aforementioned geographies. And it doesn’t stop with just ‘traditional Health care’, the interoperability journey will ensure that Aged Care and Allied Health are incorporated into the same digital ecosystem as well Fay Flevaras GAICD Anita Hobson-Powell. Will it all be smooth sailing? No Will everything go to Plan? Of course not! Will there be challenges ahead? Count on it But there is a clear vision, there are committed leaders and an enthusiastic and tight-knit community (regardless of the ‘company logo’ on your shirt). That’s a great starting point! What an exciting time we have ahead of us… #digitalhealth #interoperability #HIE #globalhealthcare

Investors want to see a strategy beyond our shores. How can Australian digital health companies navigate global markets effectively? 🌏 During HLTH Europe in Amsterdam this week, Peter Birch caught up with Bronwyn Le Grice at the ANDHealth Australian. They discuss the complexities and opportunities for Australian companies looking to scale their digital health technologies internationally. ⚖️ How can companies stack their evidence and navigate diverse regulatory pathways? 🚀 What are the key factors that support successful market entry? 🇺🇸 And why might Europe, with its multiple major markets, be a compelling alternative to the US for Australian digital health companies? Keen to explore global markets with trusted Australian partners? Connect with ANDHealth to learn more about the next delegation to HLTH US in Las Vegas happening later this year. ✈️ #digitalhealth #healthtech #hltheurope

Attention health sector conference organisers - this is what involving consumers in your event could look like. And if you're having a health conference and you're not involving consumers in some way, you might want to consider if you can possibly be discussing person-centred or patient-centred care... #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #PartneringWithConsumers
The #HealthInnovationCommunityConference starts this Sunday August 4th to Wednesday August 7th, 2024, in Brisbane. The collaborative work of digital health innovators in the healthcare system is where service transformation and system reform begins. ‘It Starts With Us’ acknowledges that as a community, we are all responsible for initiating and creating positive change. #HIC2024 will accelerate knowledge, build community, and drive change that enhances the positive impact of digital technologies in healthcare. Bellberry is delighted to provide funding towards 1) Assisting 6 consumer leaders speaking on-stage across the program 2) Helping 10 consumers with diverse experiences collaborate with researchers throughout the Academic Translational Research In Digital Health stream at the conference. They will be learning and reviewing research proposals and plans together with early and mid-career researchers and academic leaders 3) Providing support and facilitation to support 14 consumers to access and participate well at the conference (pre-conference online meet and greet with other consumers, conference buddies allocated, and navigation support, inclusion at welcome and first-timers events with other delegates) 4) Assisting with an interactive session being live-streamed to broaden participation Bellberry's funding is combined with the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) event sponsors and the University of Melbourne to provide some great outcomes for consumers rom regional and metro areas across SA, WA, VIC, NSW and QLD. We look forward to learning about the conference outcomes! #digitalhealth #HIC2024 #consumer #AIDH

This year’s digital health week #ThinkDigitalHealth was very insightful and truly inspiring given the rapid progress in the digital health space to advance quintuple aim health care priorities that are common to all provinces. Last week’s Canada Health Infoway Partnership Conference was overflowing with shared learnings, best practices and positive momentum to address the needs of Canadians through many innovative strategies such as: - patient access to their health information/health records including patient summaries via provincial apps - the patient’s voice and role that is central to data interoperability - primary care interoperability & public-private partnership and collaboration at scale and with speed - the advancement of AI scribes to support clinicians by reducing their admin. burdens and improving clinical workflows - guidance and innovation support from Health Canada | Santé Canada and Canada Health Infoway to accelerate progress on the Pan-Canadian Interopability Roadmap. Together, the public sector with the private sector, we will achieve Pan Canadian data interoperability and empower Canadians. I am incredibly proud of the leadership that TELUS Health | TELUS Santé is demonstrating with public sector partners across Canada. And yes there is much more to do together! #ThinkDigitalHealth #Innovation #PublicPrivatePartnership

World Health Day 2024: My Health, My Right 🌍🩺 "My Health, My Right" is the theme of this year's Health Day, which we celebrate every April 7th. It highlights the fundamental human right to access quality healthcare, education, and information. As we mark the World Health Organization's 76th anniversary, millions worldwide still lack adequate healthcare access. Despite health being recognised as a human right in over 140 countries, many remain underserved, with more than half of the global population lacking full access to essential health services. So, maybe #digitalhealth can be a solution for unequal health access. We believe it's possible. Digital health tools such as telemedicine, remote monitoring, and mental health support are vital for ensuring everyone has equal access to healthcare. Digital medicine breaks down barriers by enabling remote consultations, diagnosis, and treatment, ensuring even those with mobility challenges can access medical expertise. It also enhances treatment accessibility, supports medical staff, promotes healthy lifestyles, and empowers individuals with personalised health information. If you're curious about how we approach the solutions for healthcare problems, take a look at our Projects section ➡️ https://bit.ly/3QZutj2 #WorldHealthDay #digitalmedicine #publichealth #equality
