The British Ministry of Defense has released the first footage of its new Dragonfire laser gun shooting down a drone in the Skies over Scotland the dragon fire is a prototype laser that cost more than 140 million pounds to develop it claims to be able to shoot down an object the size of a pound coin from more than a away now it's been in development for many many years it's been running later than planned we've seen three releases of information on this significantly the first was the first ever photographs of the drone shooting down a tethered Target more recently we saw still photographs of the same laser shooting down a drone that was flying and now the ministry of Defense has released the footage now the footage is not particularly uh different to those still images what we see uh is a laser beam shooting up into the sky at around a 45° angle one of the complexities that the people who've been developing this we weapon have had to overcome is how to produce such a powerful laser without actually destroying the device and the mirrors within the device that aim it onto its Target and one of the other problems of course is where does that laser beam end ‼️😧🤔 if you're shooting it out the sky what is behind your target is it going to hit something in space. Now these are potentially the Future Weapons of War. They do not require ammunition so potentially it's a gun that never runs out of ammo the prediction at the moment is these sorts of devices will initially be based on large warships. Because those warships can generate the power the electricity that the lasers need actually what we learned the ministry of Defense claimed that it cost just about £10 a pop to fire this so if and when these weapons are produced on a larger scale they may actually produce huge savings for the Armed Forces particularly given them giving them the capability to shoot down uh threats from swarms of drones which is something as we've seen in the 🇺🇦 war an evolving threat and of course we've seen. 🚨Important Comment 👨🏻💻 I think maybe enemies soldiers use mini laser gun for air drones. First of all, soldiers need to detected enemies air drones to fastly and sensitivity before air drones pilot or AI counterattacking. This drone used to be simplier, deployed and shoot zombie for an amount of time and then cooling down for a bit and again. I had added some upgrade: lv1: have the ability to collect drop from enemy in battle (diamond - hard currency, tech - upgrade component for gun) lv2: deploy a defense barrier around player (each drone have unique ability: fire ring, mine field,...) lv3: cool finisher - decoration only lv4: transform into new form (model)

The firearm uses the same 7.62mm calibre bullet as the famous AK-47, while the bullet’s velocity can reach 740 to 900 metres per second (2,427 to 2,952 feet per second), 10 metres (33 feet) away from the muzzle, matching the AK-47’s power. But the main innovation that sets this weapon apart is its almost non-existent recoil. The recoil is as mild as tapping a keyboard.

See the future of situational awareness technology. This hasn't been the easiest technology to employ. As funding and familiarity to agencies becomes available, so too will real-time situational awareness beyond where it is now. Who needs to know?: * Those who rely on critical and time sensitive information (operations and incident commanders) * Plans Section Chiefs * Situations Unit What needs to happen?: * Aircraft and crew carded for mission * Contract in place to work from * FAA advisements, and airspace coordination communicated * Mission order placed * Response time realized * Briefing of crew for contacts and frequencies * Launch from appropriate location. When to fly: * Persistent night time operations * Flight in IFR flight conditions (smoke obscured air) * When long endurance is needed Why to fly: * Search and Rescue (IR) * Overwatch coverage (what's happening) * Assessment of conditions (is there a need for other aircraft that fly VFR) * Provide accurate real-time mapping * When stealth is needed * Tracking of assets Overwatch Aero, LLC USFA, National Fire Academy USDA Forest Service United Aerial Firefighters Association (UAFA) 🚒
Getting a "good job" is always nice, but it hits different when it's from a company like Overwatch Aero, LLC Aero! These heroes provide vital emergency response for wildfires, and we're proud to be their go-to system. Their Type 1 UAS system with our HD80 camera delivers critical high-definition imagery and location data. This intel helps firefighting crews make quick, informed decisions to protect lives and property. As fire season approaches, we're incredibly grateful for Overwatch Aero's dedication. Here's to another season of working together to keep communities safe! #TrilliumEngineering #HD80 #ActionableImagery #MissionProven #Visualintelligence #TrilliumIntegration #OverwatchAero #WildfireMapping #WildfirePrevention

Based on my experience working for AFRL as a blast and ballistics research engineer, the damage caused by a blast wave decreases with the cube of its radius. Therefore, anything you can do to increase the standoff distance between you and the bomb makes you exponentially safer. These spikes might not look like much, but causing the drones to detonate even 18 inches further away is a drastic improvement.
Today I bring you the latest battlefield innovation, Porcupine armor! In what looks like a vehicle right out of mad max, we see the latest in anti fpv fashion below. The armor features thousands of metal rods welded to steel plates to protect parts of the vehicle from drone strikes, and yet it looks like the welders ran out of budget as the backdoor looks pretty exposed. As of now, there are no reports on its effectiveness. #dronewars

Not your average OEM. GA-ASI sees an opportunity to fill a capability gap that places Soldiers at risk, develops a concept, builds a capability, tests it and demonstrates it in challenging operational environments all at its own expense, then offers it up for DoD consideration. This is why I choose to work here. Visionary leaders not afraid to invest in relevant, leading edge, Soldier centric capabilities.
#MojaveUAS once again proves its unmatched versatility: using two Dillon Aero, Inc. DAP-6 gun pods, it destroyed multiple static targets in a live-fire test. #AAAA2024 See Mojave in action and read about our recent test: https://ow.ly/68Sv50Rm3zP
