🎉🎉🎉 Here at Omniscient, we are delighted to come out of stealth mode and announce that we have been awarded an #InnovateUK #SMARTGrant in partnership with Oxford University’s Robotics Institute! As one of only 46 successful applications out of over 1600, we are hugely proud to have been selected. Born out of the fast-paced, high-tech world of Formula 1, Omniscient are on a mission to enable businesses to make the right decision instantly. We’re building game-changing technology to revolutionise how businesses manage Highly Configurable Systems like SaaS platforms, autonomous systems, AI models and digital twin simulations. This grant will be crucial in accelerating our time to market 🚀, helping us build three core innovations at the heart of our platform. Each will leverage semantic intelligence to make merging, migrating and modularising configuration data a seamless, error-free experience. The grant will also enable us to publicly validate our technology with the Oxford Robotics Institute’s infrastructure-based autonomous system, which promises to address cost, installation, and time barriers to deploying robots 🤖 in productive commercial operations.  ⭐ Personal Reflection ⭐ As I take a moment to look back on the last few years, I can't help but feel grateful for the journey so far. From enabling vision for mobile wheeled robots and industrial machines and robots to Spot the cute robot dog, it's been quite the learning journey in robotics, computer vision, and AI. But the time came for a new challenge, SmartAIs: empowering blind and visually impaired individuals to navigate the outdoors safely and independently. It's been over a year of ideating, research, conceptualizing, customer discovery, market validation, and of course, prototyping and validating with users. A huge shoutout to Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH, Kickstart@Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, and AI+Munich (MUNICH INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM) for the great support in getting us to where we are today. Now, the journey continues. I'm happy to join the Digital Product School by UnternehmerTUM with the SmartAIs team for three months focused on building the best human-centered digital products. Our goal? To transform our prototype into an MVP that truly meets the needs of visually impaired people and achieve problem-solution fit 🎯 I'm full with excitement for what's to come and can't wait to tackle the challenges ahead with a highly-motivated team and the great guidance and expertise of DPS.
