It seems like common sense but many (most?) data stacks can't accommodate this kind of data integration. Order fulfillment data as part of a customer journey engagement cycle?! What?! Enterprise Identity Resolution is crucial. Good advice, Brian.
Note to CX folks on the brand side - work closely with your fulfillment team to ensure you're not sending "Last Chance to get in time for XMas" emails/SMS to customers who already have items on back-order. It's a bad look.

In the supply chain we do have reverse logistics. Reverse logistics results due to excess delivery, wrong products delivered, damaged products and even for disposal or recycling. To reduce the reverse logistics, we opt to take this into consideration. First and foremost, we have to get our sizing and specifications Right. Secondly, we ought to write a thorough product listing to ensure customers understand what they will get. Thirdly, it advisable to have zoomable photography for clarity. Fourtly, we opt to be clear on what can be returned and one that cannot. This will ensure customers are keen to details when selecting. Fiftly, we need to opt for live chats to help our esteemed customers to ask questions if they need more information on the products. Last but not least, properly package the orders to prevent breakages. Finally, delivery times should be accurate for customer loyalty. #Lessreverselogistic.
