Having been with Storm Aviation for over 8 years, their role as a B1 Shift Engineer involves managing shifts, planning manpower, and addressing any arising issues, while also providing coverage on aircraft when necessary. As an engineer, they appreciate working for Storm due to the diversity of aircraft types, especially at Gatwick where they handle a wide range of aircraft, that no day is ever the same. Why have I been so quiet on here? 🤫 Last week and this week has consisted of a fair bit of planning for upcoming projects. One of which Michael Woods B.Sc. (Hons) and the Solent Sky Services™ team attended over the weekend and rolled straight into a very exciting project this week. What has my weeks of planning consisted of? ✅ Permission to fly and film within the perimeters of a local airport. ✅ Permission to fly and film within two different ports. ✅ Permission to fly and film on a prestigious race track. ✅ Permission to fly within two locations in central London. All of the above supported by- ✅ Ground Risk Assessments ✅ Drone Risk Assessments ✅ Full job packs including method statements, flight area, weather forecast, NOTAMS and other supporting information. ✅ Contact/call sheet ✅ Supplying relevant licences and insurance documents. ✅ Completion or updating of supplier forms. ✅ Completion of site forms. Each project is bespoke and requires individual, detailed attention. There is nothing more satisfying then knowing the team have everything onsite so they can crack on, be creative and blow the socks off our clients. #projectplanning #familybusiness #videoproduction
