Invest in Aalborg’s Post

Aalborg is where green aviation takes off ✈️ Why is this new strong collaboration so important? Here are 3 ingredients: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬🤝 SAS, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Copenhagen Airport, and Aalborg Airport have joined forces to support the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (eSAF) through the innovative Fjord PtX project, located in Norbis Park, Aalborg. Through this collaboration, the partners aim to set new industry standards in aviation. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 📌 This strategic choice of location is no coincidence. Fjord PtX will produce up to 75,000 tons of eSAF annually - three times the current consumption for domestic flights in Denmark. It will bring green jobs and new investment opportunities. The project taps into Aalborg’s unique infrastructure, ensuring not only the production of eSAF but also benefits for the local community through surplus heat for the district heating network. CEO and Invest in Aalborg Ambassador, Niels Hemmingsen explains: “For Aalborg Airport, this partnership is key to achieving ambitious sustainability goals.” “Aalborg is the ideal location for Fjord PtX, as the area provides the necessary resources to drive sustainable development.” 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 🚀 This partnership is not an isolated initiative - it’s part of a larger chain of activities driving Aalborg’s green transformation. From renewable energy projects to innovative industrial developments, Aalborg is capitalizing on a growing momentum within CleanTech, Energy and Sustainability. This is an extremely important milestone, congratulations to the Aalborg Airport and Aalborg city. 📷 Aalborg Lufthavn
