Innovation to Startup (I2S) programme is a single seamless funding pathway which brings together three successful grant schemes, these being: 1. Phase 1 SMART Venture Exploration Grant - To assist in moving discovery from the lab toward the marketplace 2. Phase 2 NHIC Innovation to Develop (I2D) - To develop an innovation with a realisable commercialisation plan 3. Phase 3 Enterprise Singapore Startup SG Tech - To commercialise this innovation via a startup company route. The tripartite partnership between National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC), Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Centre (SMART), and Enterprise Singapore strategically bring together funding and resources to support start-ups. Fondazione E. Amaldi has expanded its presence in the Turin area with a dedicated office, with the aim of fostering the development of novel ideas and systemic projects on a national scale. The Nairobi Innovation Week 2024 was held on May 8-10, 2024. The theme for this year's NIW 2024 was, 'Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem through Government- Industry-Academia-Community Linkages for Sustainable Development. Nairobi Innovation Week is an annual event in the University of Nairobi calendar. It focuses on catalyzing innovations, incubation, startups, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the university. Further, it provides a platform for local and international innovators to showcase innovations and build business networks. The University organizes the event in collaboration with local and international partners and stakeholders. The purpose of the NIW is to contribute towards a vibrant innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial culture through policy influence, research dissemination, showcasing innovation, incubating innovation & ideas, startup creations, networking, capacity building, investment, and support opportunities.

Despite Europe's leadership in research, many groundbreaking technologies don't reach the market. DT Launch Pad, led by Delft University of Technology, has a goal to change that. This project supports the European Deep Tech community with comprehensive services, talent development, international knowledge exchange, and fostering start-ups. Currently, in Work Package 2, we're mapping research and assets to understand the needs of Deep Tech in Europe. Key Highlights: Three Funding Schemes: EIC Pathfinder, EIC Transition, and EIC Accelerator, each tailored to different stages of technology readiness. Techne Summit Cairo 2024 Kicks off, Powered by MCIT, ITIDA The third edition of Techne Summit Cairo is held on May 25-27 under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD) of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA). The first day of Techne Summit is hosted at Creativa Innovation Hub in Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace in Cairo.
