KEYENCE CORPORATION presents the 3D laser snapshot sensor LJ-S8000 for 3D inline inspections. The sensor delivers high-precision images with 0.3µm repeatability in 0.2 seconds. Since the laser light source and the sensor's receiving unit are moved, no additional lighting, moving unit or encoder are required. This enables plug&play inspections of quality, shape, geometry and dimensions. Due to design and production process limitations, ordinary industrial lenses often encounter problems such as image distortion and external light source interference in precision testing, which affects the precision of the detection. A telecentric lens is a lens specially designed to correct the parallax of traditional industrial lenses. It can achieve image magnification within a certain range of object distance, so that the magnification does not change with the change of object distance, and thus does not produce near large far small situations.
