You input instructions, and the AI delivers what it thinks you want. Sounds simple, right? But here's the catch - the output is only as good as your input. Crafting effective prompts is an art form in itself, one that many struggle to master. Think about it: - How many times have you rephrased a question to get a better answer from ChatGPT? - Have you ever felt frustrated when Bard or CoPilot didn't quite grasp your intent? Tech teams should be deploying AI in two ways: in their product and in their own productivity. But let’s be clear 👉 don’t deploy AI for the sake of AI 👈 It’s easy to fall into the trap of deploying AI quickly without stopping to think about the real value. Here’s what’s worked for me: AI in your product: - All AI should map back to customer value. Think about their day-to-day challenges and build solutions iteratively. - If you move too quickly, you risk losing customer value and, ultimately, customer trust. AI in your productivity: - Choose a use case that fits your own specific way of working— not anyone else’s. - If it feels like a slog, it might not be the right fit. - I’ve been using ChatGPT to help come up with creative prompts for meetings.
