I will add four additional recommendations to go alongside the IOPC call to action 1) Every police force to have publicly available data on the use of police powers, stop and search strip searches and use of force in a way people can easily read. - pie charts and graphs 2) There is active campaigns to reduce and or explain any disproportionality publicly in forums and meetings and on website 3) Professional standards departments take a zero tolerance line to people who act with prejudice or who discriminate. 4) Every PSD department includes independent divers panels including young people to give advice as a critical friend

Thank you IOPC. So this is a detailed report highlighting the effects of discrimination in policing. Lets be clear there are many outstanding professional and empathetic officers of every rank level on the one hand, on the other hand there are some people who shouldn't be anywhere near policing. In the middle there are some who need training, advice and support. The effects of discrimination and not addressing the issue has a profound effect on trust and confidence, not only from members of the public but from police officers and staff. This report calls on police leaders, Professional Standards Departments and Police Crime Commissioners to work together to address issues.

IOPC stinks and is a no good organisation.
