This comment section is 🔥 🔥 🔥 Whether you're in healthcare, HR / Recruiting, or just passionate about fair representation in the workplace, these stories and perspectives are a must-read!! I have spent 2.5 years now learning about the Infection Prevention industry and how imperative their work is in keeping our hospitals safe. They are our frontline defenders against the spread of diseases when we are at our most vulnerable. Just yesterday, I was conversing with a fellow YMCA member about the high mortality rate in underdeveloped nations from the lack of antibiotics and sterilization when an injured individual comes into the hospital setting. According to World Health Organization in an article published in May of '22: "Out of every 100 patients in acute-care hospitals, seven patients in high-income countries and 15 patients in low- and middle-income countries will acquire at least one health care-associated infection (HAI) during their hospital stay. On average, 1 in every 10 affected patients will die from their HAI." The work of our Infection Preventionists transcend mere job responsibilities; it embodies a profound calling—a commitment to the broader welfare of society. However, despite the indispensable role they fulfill, Infection Preventionists frequently fly under the radar, their contributions overlooked and undervalued. It's high time we cast a spotlight on their vital work and grant them the recognition (AND PAY) they rightly deserve. 🌟 In my role, I have the chance to engage in separate discussions with HR recruiters and hiring managers about compensation for Infection Prevention roles, and I must say, the conversations couldn't be more different! I have sent countless compensation reports to hiring managers so they have a resource they can use to plead their case. To all the Infection Preventionists out there: Thank you for your unwavering commitment to safeguarding our health. Your work does not go unnoticed by your Clutch Recruitment team, and your impact is immeasurable. Let's shine a spotlight on their incredible contributions and ensure they receive the recognition they truly deserve. 💙 #InfectionPrevention #HealthcareHeroes #ClutchRecruitment
