MLS is a miracle, and the envy of the world... What helps make MLS successful? All listings (with a few exceptions/Office Exclusives) must be submitted to the MLS. This prevents "hording" of the best properties by brokers intent on "double ending." Exclusive listings are also a key factor in MLS success. The result is more buyers with more access to more properties, and more offers for sellers...a consumer win win. And don't forget that real estate professionals work on "contingency," which makes their fees a bargain. Attorneys who work on contingency charge 25% to 40%.

Somehow it's April. March was a blur of activity: seemed like I was in a different city every day. Here's some of the highlights... Talking about practical neuroeconomics and visitor experience, at the Association for Cultural Enterprises 2024 conference. The ICC Wales is an excellent venue, and the event was superb. Meeting Ann Morrow Johnson, AIA, and Blair Lundie, and catching up with Matthew Henderson were personal highlights. Catching up with my reSALEience partner, Katie in London to set out the 2024 offering. Very exciting and we'll be sharing more, so watch this space. The range of meeting spaces in London means that there's something for everyone, and we started in style, at the Rotunda at the Four Seasons Hotel London. A well-earned day off, and a relaxing trip to Whitby. Even as a #Lancashire lad, I'll happily admit that there's a magical charm to this little bit of North #Yorkshire. Pretty sure there was some cheating on the crazy golf... At least there was no water hazard (Callum's favourite feature on a course!) Working with two medical equipment manufacturers - one in Durham, and one in Budapest. Team Durham set very ambitious targets for Q1 and hit them. Team Budapest dipped their toe in practical neuroeconomics, including the roles of bias, and positive associative memories. Powerful, yet simple steps that field sales teams can take to lift performance. Add to the mix a bit of time in Zurich, Manchester, York, and Newcastle, and I was ready for the Bank Holiday weekend. The London Convention Bureau just reported a record £158m contribution to the economy from business events in just nine months of 2024. That’s an impressive 32% increase from last year! Here are some highlights: 🟣 Notable events include the Salesforce World Tour at Excel London with 13,000 delegates and the European Society of Cardiology with over 25,000 guests. 🟣 A surge in events across fintech, life sciences, and sustainability, rising from 25 to 32 events. 🟣 The London Convention Bureau expects further economic boosts from upcoming events, projected to generate more than £121m combined. Property Investors Show at Excel (19-20 Apr’24) is always worth attending. It helps us to stay current and informed about new changes/developments/proposals, in the investment/ rental arena. “Life after the Bill” talk, delivered by Ben Beadle (NRLA) and “Property investing in election year by Richard Bowser (Property Investor News) were very intsightful. There were many more seminars and presentations to choose from whether we had tax, estate planning, SA or HMO concerns. Sourcing deals featured high on the agenda with numerous presentations promoting using software like Property Filter or varied agents promoting their respective areas. I visit on regular basis and attended yesterday. It’s encouraging to see many new exhibitors, listen to different seminars and debates, speak directly to the experts, establish new connections and strengthen the existing ones. It’s enjoyable to watch the new, young companies grow from year to year, now ready to have their own stand at the show. The introduction of new ways, software and products enables us to seek better solutions and utilise the time we have available , more effectively.
