The Unified Patent Court's Dusseldorf LD has adjudicated a request for simultaneous translation to Japanese (in Fujifilm v. Kodak) in materially the same way in which the Hague LD dealt with a request for simultaneous translation to Polish: it's OK, but the party that wants this has to arrange for this at its own expense, not least when the target language is not an official UPC language. The decision was made by Presiding Judge (and here, judge-rapporteur) Ronny Thomas. Counsel for Fujifilm: HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER's Lars Baum. Counsel of record for Kodak: Freshfields's Eva Acker. https://lnkd.in/dm_3FWij
