IFRRO has expressed significant concerns regarding Poland's draft law amending the Copyright and Related Rights Act, the Database Protection Act, and the Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights Act. This draft law aims to transpose Articles 3 and 4 of the EU’s Copyright in the Digital Single Market (CDSM) Directive, which detail exceptions for Text and Data Mining (TDM). A key element of the EU TDM provisions is the requirement for "lawful access" to content, ensuring that TDM is conducted only on content lawfully acquired. This safeguard protects rightsholders and maintains the legitimacy of TDM activities. However, the Polish draft law, approved by the Sejm, omits this critical condition. IFRRO urges the Polish Senate to amend the draft law to include the "lawful access" requirement, aligning it with EU legislation.

How is SESAR 3 HARMONIC Project progressing? Recently we've successfully completed the first technical review of the HARMONIC Project. We've reflected on our progress and discussed our clear objectives for the future with SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking representatives. This important milestone demonstrates how effective collaboration and strategic planning can drive technological progress HARMONIC brings innovation closer to deployment with two key solutions: - 0381 Enhanced Demand Management - 0382 Enhancing DCB Efficiency: Advanced DAC Process These solutions are designed to improve the DCB process, paving the way for a more efficient network.
