There may be huge opportunities for blueberry exporters in China, which is only now discovering this healthy and tasty fruit. Ecuador, which started producing blueberries in 2015, has just started negotiations to export to China with no tariffs and is working on securing the necessary approvals, according to Fruitnet. Other producers, like Argentina or Chile, export nothing to China. Last week, Peru sent three times as many blueberries to the US as it did to China, which could mean that there is a huge opportunity there for producers and exporters. This is just one of the many such opportunities that www.iqfruits.com makes evident to our users. Check out the platform and start a free trial to find out more... #EuropeanMarket #ProcessFruitsAndVegetables #SustainableProcessFood #Europe #SangeetaVetal_Lad. Europe is the largest market for processed fruit and vegetables in the world, absorbing more global supplies than any other continent. In 2023, European imports of processed fruit and vegetables represented 42% of global imports in value, followed by Asia (30%), North America (19%), Latin America and Caribbean (4%), Africa (3%) and Oceania (2%). #Germany and the #Netherlands are Europe’s main importers of processed fruit and vegetables, making them interesting focus markets. Both markets have large shares of imports from developing countries. The main difference between the two is that the Netherlands re-exports most imported products. Germany is also a significant re-exporter but also the largest consumer and processor of imported products. France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain are other promising markets with a large share of imports from developing countries. #PromisingProductsExport to #Europe 1. Frozen/Dried Berries 2. The dynamism of the global market for table grapes never ceases to amaze. As data from iQfruits shows, Chilean grapes are fetching top prices in the U.S. If this trend continues (and there is little reason to think it won't), the opportunity is significant. #fruit_trade #grapes #Chile iQonsulting Delta Analysis
Chilean grapes are entering 2025 with the best prices in the U.S. market. Chilean grapes are outperforming in the U.S. market with an impressive opening price of USD7.66/kg, topping competitors like Peru (USD5.97/kg), Brazil (USD5.64/kg) and the domestic supply (USD4.58/kg). This success comes on the heels of the implementation of a new systematic approach to Chilean fruit exports. One advantage, as Isabel Quiroz points out, is that California grapes have been hit by high temperatures and others in warehouses look tired. The prices of Chilean table grapes in the U.S. are a testament to the quality and innovation driving Chile’s fruit industry! Check out iQfruits.com for this and other insights that can supercharge your fruit trading and maximise your profits. #Markets #ChileExports #Grapes #GlobalTrade
