Great article by Rebecca Starkie highlighting the importance of bridging the communication gap in clinical trials. Clinical trials hold the key to unlocking groundbreaking treatments, yet many interested patients miss out due to lack of awareness. By bridging this gap with clear language and accessible information, we can empower patients to become active partners in research. This collaborative approach doesn't just drive successful trials, but also yields real-world benefits that directly impact patient care. #ClinicalResearch #PatientEmpowerment #HealthcareInnovation

Patients want to have their voices heard in clinical trials. "Excluding patients from clinical trials can have a significant impact on engagement. Patients and clinicians have different perspectives when it comes to treatment success and outcomes [...] To optimize trial meaningfulness and success, researchers must engage with patients and caregivers – who are experts in their own right – through authentic conversations from the onset of trial design." #clinicaltrials #patientengagement #healthcare

Sharing a few key insights from a newly published journal article authored by Press Ganey's Research and Analytics scientists discussing their work with patient focus groups of clinical trial participants to better understand their expectations when participating in a clinical trial: 1. Patient centricity is critical in facilitating trust and patient engagement during clinical trials. 2. Patients enrolled in clinical trials want to be asked about their experience. 3. Regular and frequent communication with patients should occur, even after trial completion. 4. Patient-centric resources, for example, user-friendly technology, transportation, and on-site support, can impact patient experience.
