Clean room course was designed to understand the various equipment and air flow schematic for clean room application. The air flow configuration will be very much dependent on the class of clean room selected. The chart below depicts dual return ahu configuration without considering fan heat. This can be easily drawn out from your air flow configuration once you understand psychrometric chart and application. . It’s usually a large metal box containing a blower, heating and/or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. AHUs connect to ductwork that distributes the conditioned air through the building and returns it to the AHU. Some AHUs discharge and admit air directly to and from the space served without ductwork. They may condition 100% outside air, or recirculate a mix of outdoor and indoor air for energy efficienc #Designer #Industrialdesigner #Mechanicaldesigner #Mechanicalengineering #Designengineer #sheetmetall

Invi Air Diffusers - Manimize! Diffuser Condensation and Noise Levels. All Invi Air products are non-metal, made from an innovative and proprietary composite material, which has been shown to drastically improve HVAC system performance. Compared to metal, it has a significantly lower response to temperature change thus, minimizing diffuser condensation on and around the air diffuser by up to 95%. That means 95% less chance of any kind of dampness damage (water droplets, cracks, mold). Due to Invi Air’s unique composite construction and limited restrictions on the rear of the diffuser, noise is limited. We strive to design our diffusers for less than 15 NC (Noise Criteria). Standard metal vents amplify the vibration and whistle of moving air. Our smart composite material absorbs sound, significantly minimizing ambient noise levels by up to 50%. #Architecture #InteriorDesign

Considering doing displacement ventilation? The points and steps to consider are as follows:- High ceiling space and low space sensible heat? Raised Floor for UFAD or just DV? Calculate heat load in occupied space. Determine the occupied space whether for seated or standing occupants. For DV, the steps are as follows while there are some minor differences for calculating UFAD:- Calculate supply air volume for cooling and outdoor air requirement. Supply air volume shall be larger of the two, Calculate supply temperature from space sensible heat. Calculate the exhaust air temperature. Calculate on coil condition from temperature of mixed outdoor and exhaust air. Calculate off coil condition from grains consideration of space latent heat and design room condition. Consider any reheat requirement. Calculate ahu capacity from on coil and off coil condition. Wanna learn UFAD or DV design? Start from psychrometric course and then take the underfloor/ displacement ventilation design course. For specifying AHU, take the AHU selection and specification course. In water treatment processes, cooling towers are employed to manage and control the temperature of water used in various stages of treatment. Here’s how they are utilized Heat Dissipation During water treatment, Cooling towers dissipate heat to ensure that the water remains at optimal temperatures for effective treatment. Temperature Regulation Maintaining appropriate temperatures is crucial for the efficiency of certain water treatment processes. Cooling towers help regulate temperatures to enhance the performance and efficiency of these processes. Preventing Equipment Overheating Cooling towers help in cooling the water used in equipment and machinery, preventing overheating and ensuring the longevity and proper functioning of the treatment infrastructure. #wastewatersrilanka #zld #etp #wastewatermanagement

Do you know the difference between sensible and latent heat? Understanding both is key for proper HVAC design! Save this video for a quick reference on heat types: 🔥 Sensible Heat: The heat energy in the air that affects temperature but is independent of moisture, measured with a standard thermometer. 💦 Latent Heat: The energy required for a phase change of water in the air, such as from gas to liquid, without changing the temperature. Mastering this knowledge will help you improve temperature and humidity control in any space.

Whatever the weather Invi Air minimizes AC diffuser rust by up to 100%. One of the perennial issues in HVAC systems is the problem of condensation. Traditional metal HVAC diffusers often grapple with condensation issues as they are susceptible to temperature change when the air conditioning is turned on, which can result in a plethora of problems, including mold growth and decreased efficiency. Invi Air’s composite material was specifically developed to not react to temperature change thus minimizing diffuser condensation on and around the diffuser by up to 95% compared to metal diffusers. Invi Air’s non-metal diffusers will never experience rust formation, thereby enhancing the overall durability and longevity of HVAC systems. This is a game-changer as it not only ensures better performance but also reduces maintenance costs over the long term. #Architecture #InteriorDesign
